Deogiri Nagari Sahakari Bank is recruiting 100 Trainee Junior Officers under Advertisement 130/2026-27. Applications and examination-fee payment close at 11:59 PM on 31 October 2026. The opportunity is open to graduates with the prescribed computer qualification; previous banking experience is a preference rather than a universal entry requirement.
The important decision is the employment path. The appointment begins with one year of training, followed by six months of probation under the bank’s rules. Applicants should weigh the starting pay and the security-deposit conditions alongside the vacancy count.
📌 The application at a glance
Who meets the entry conditions?
A candidate needs a degree in any discipline from a recognised university and MS-CIT or an equivalent computer-course certificate. The advertisement uses 30 September 2026 as the educational-qualification cutoff. Someone awaiting the required qualification cannot treat the later application deadline as extra time to acquire it.
Age is assessed separately: 22 to 35 years on 1 October 2026. Proficiency in written and spoken Marathi, English and Hindi is required. These are practical communication requirements, not optional additions to a graduate application.
JAIIB, CAIIB, GDC&A and specified recognised banking, cooperation or law-related qualifications receive preference, as does work experience in banks, credit societies or other financial institutions. A fresher who meets the mandatory degree, computer, age and language conditions should not confuse these preferences with a blanket experience requirement. No category-wise reservation distribution should be inferred from the total of 100.
📊 The examination: question share is different from mark share
The online objective paper lasts 120 minutes and has 120 questions carrying 100 marks. The English language paper is in English; the other listed subjects are available in English and Marathi.
The table matters because equal question counts do not mean equal scoring weight. English and Computer/Cooperation each have 20 questions but only 10 marks; Reasoning and Banking/General Knowledge each have 20 questions for 20 marks. As an arithmetic average, 120 minutes for 120 questions gives one minute per question across the whole paper. This is not a notified sectional time limit. A negative-marking rule is not stated in this notice’s published examination pattern.
How the 100-mark final merit is built
The raw written score out of 100 is converted to 90 marks. The remaining 10 comprise five marks for educational qualification and five for the oral interview. The final selection list is based on the combined score.
For example, a raw written score of 70 converts to 63/90. If a candidate receives four academic marks and four interview marks, the combined score is 71/100. This is an illustrative calculation, not a predicted cutoff or a promise of selection. The advertisement does not provide a detailed academic-mark conversion grid; no academic score can be promised solely from a degree percentage.
Original documents are checked before interview. The notice describes calling candidates in written-merit order at a 1:3 ratio under bank policy. Against 100 advertised vacancies, that ratio corresponds arithmetically to 300 candidates; it is not a separately announced shortlist of 300 names. Interview absence makes a candidate ineligible for final selection even after passing the examination.
💰 Training pay, deposit and the five-year condition
The first six training months carry gross pay of ₹15,000 per month. For the remaining six months, ₹18,000 per month applies subject to satisfactory performance in the first phase. If both six-month phases run at those stated rates, the calculated gross training-year amount is ₹1,98,000. It is not a take-home estimate. The increase between the two phases is ₹3,000 per month, or 20%, and is conditional.
At appointment, the bank requires a conduct/responsibility bond on ₹500 stamp paper and a ₹30,000 fixed/term-deposit security amount. The ₹30,000 is separate from the application fee and is equal to two months of the initial ₹15,000 gross training pay—a comparison of amounts, not a notified instalment arrangement.
The security is refundable with interest after five years of continuous service. For resignation before five years, the notice provides for return with applicable interest when the stipulated two-month notice period is completed; leaving without completing it can lead to forfeiture. Applicants should read these conditions before committing funds. Probation and subsequent confirmation are subject to the bank's assessment and rules.
Apply through the designated recruitment route
Use the Deogiri recruitment portal operated through the Maharashtra Urban Co-operative Banks Federation. Complete the online form, use an active email address and mobile number, and finish the fee-payment process by the deadline. The notice says registration is not complete without updating the fee-payment requirement. Preserve the submitted form and payment evidence.
The bank's general careers page also accepts professional resumes, but that email route is not a substitute for this advertisement's online application. Incorrect statements or failure to produce supporting originals can disqualify a candidate at a later stage.
What has not been announced?
The notice provides the exam format and centre but no fixed examination date, admit-card release date, interview date, answer-key release or result date. Follow official recruitment notices for these stages. There is no published cutoff to use as an expected selection benchmark.
