This recruitment has 14 notified vacancies: 6 Manager posts and 8 Assistant Manager posts. Assistant Manager therefore accounts for 57.14% of the intake and Manager 42.86%. The notified reservation counts reconcile exactly to the post totals: Manager = UR 3 + SC 1 + ST 1 + SEBC(OBC) 1 = 6; Assistant Manager = UR 4 + SC 1 + ST 2 + SEBC(OBC) 1 = 8. Combined, the 14 seats are UR 7 (50.0%), SC 2 (14.29%), ST 3 (21.43%) and SEBC(OBC) 2 (14.29%). These combined percentages are SarkariSapna calculations from the notified integer vacancies; they are not replacement quota percentages. The Bank says the vacancy numbers are provisional and may increase or decrease according to requirement.
A permanent-resident-of-Odisha condition applies to both posts. This is not merely a posting preference: the notification makes Odisha permanent residency part of eligibility. At joining/document verification, a Residential Certificate issued by the competent authority is required and the notice says it must be issued not before the date of advertisement. Candidates should therefore not assume an older residence certificate will work.
For Manager, a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate is mandatory, but the experience rule is equally important. The applicant needs either 3 years in officer cadre in a commercial bank OR 5 years in officer cadre in a co-operative bank or a financial institution such as a DFI, NBFC, insurance company or investment company. The wording is officer-cadre experience, not simply any banking employment. For Assistant Manager, the same 55% Bachelor's degree is mandatory, but no minimum experience years are prescribed; relevant banking/co-operative-bank/financial-institution experience is only a preference. The notification also lists Finance, Bank Management, Cooperative Management, Business Administration and Information Technology backgrounds among preferences, but does not turn them into separate mandatory degrees.
Age is reckoned as on 1 April 2026. Manager is 21-42 years and Assistant Manager 21-32 years in the normal range. SC/ST/SEBC(OBC), Women and Ex-servicemen receive 5 years of upper-age relaxation, while PwBD candidates receive 10 years. The notice says that if more than one relaxation category applies, only one benefit—the most beneficial one—is allowed; relaxations are not cumulative.
The pay figures need careful interpretation. Manager carries the pre-revised scale Rs. 9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4,200 and Assistant Manager Rs. 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2,400, plus DA, HRA and other admissible allowances under the 6th Pay Commission framework. The Bank explicitly states that 7th Pay Commission salary implementation is in process. Because no revised scale or current in-hand amount is published, this record does not invent a 7th-CPC level or take-home salary.
Both posts carry a 12-month probation. Successful completion leads to confirmation. If performance is unsatisfactory, the employee may be given another six months to improve, after which performance is reviewed and the employee may either be confirmed or discharged.
The online examination has 200 questions for 200 marks in 135 minutes: Reasoning and Computer Aptitude 50/50/35 minutes; Quantitative Aptitude 50/50/35; General and Financial Awareness 50/50/30; and English Language 50/50/35. Across the full paper the nominal average is only 40.5 seconds per question. The three 35-minute sections allow about 42 seconds per question, while General and Financial Awareness allows about 36 seconds per question. These are derived timing comparisons, not Bank-prescribed per-question limits. Wrong answers attract a 0.25-mark penalty, so four wrong answers mathematically erase the mark from one correct answer. Blank questions carry no penalty. Cutoffs apply both to individual tests and to the total score; no numerical cutoff has yet been published.
If the examination is held in more than one session, corrected scores are equated to account for minor differences in difficulty. The notice also says a candidate may appear only once in the online examination for a post; multiple appearances can cancel candidature even if more than one call letter has been generated.
The selection wording deserves close reading. An earlier clause says written test followed by viva-voce and speaks of the aggregate of written and viva scores. A later section titled 'Final Selection for Appointment' explicitly says final selection is based on written score, viva-voce score and experience. The notification does not publish the numerical weightage for viva or experience. This record therefore preserves experience as a verified final-selection component but does not invent any 80:20, 90:10 or other weightage.
The viva-voce is to be held at the Bank Head Office at Kajala, Kendrapara, or another venue decided by management. The current tentative online-exam centre list contains Bhubaneswar, but the Bank may cancel/add centres or allot a candidate to another centre. Exact venue and reporting time will come through the call letter.
The current official schedule used here is 02.10.2026 to 25.10.2026 for registration/editing and fee payment because the live Career page and the opening schedule on page 1 of the notification both show those dates. However, the Bank homepage and a later paragraph inside the same PDF still contain older 01.10.2026 to 21.10.2026 wording. This internal official-source inconsistency is deliberately preserved in the analysis. Applicants should follow the live Career page/application portal and re-check the Bank website before the deadline.
The opening fee table charges Rs. 750 to General (UR) candidates and Rs. 500 to SC/ST/SEBC(OBC)/Women/PwBD/Ex-servicemen. Bank transaction charges are extra and application fees once paid are non-refundable. A later legacy paragraph in the same PDF omits PwBD from the Rs. 500 line, while the opening fee table includes PwBD; this record follows the opening/current schedule table and flags the discrepancy instead of silently changing it.
Application rejection risks extend beyond basic eligibility. The signature must not be in capital letters; photo, signature, left-thumb impression and handwritten declaration must be uploaded in the prescribed form; the handwritten declaration must be in the candidate's own handwriting in English except for the specified visually-impaired accommodation. The portal also requires a live photograph capture in addition to the uploaded passport photograph. After complete registration, changes are not entertained in the normal workflow.
The notice says not more than one application should be submitted for one post. If multiple applications are filed, only the latest valid completed application is retained and fees paid for the other registrations are forfeited. Candidates serving in Government/Quasi-Government offices, PSUs, nationalized banks or financial institutions must produce an NOC at joining. The joining-document list also includes character certificates from two Gazetted Officers or two MLAs/MPs. Name matching is strict at exam/interview: the call-letter name must match the photo ID, with original Gazette notification/marriage certificate/affidavit required where a legal name change has occurred.
There is no separate live answer-key or result link as of 7 October 2026. The Bank has announced that exam call letters will be available through the Career page about 10 days before the examination, with email/SMS intimation. The notice also states that question papers are not shared after the examination. Answer-key, result and numerical cutoff records are therefore not created prematurely; they should be added to this same recruitment lifecycle only when the Bank publishes them.
