Punjab & Sind Bank Regional Office Ludhiana is inviting offline applications for engagement of a Physiotherapist on contractual retainer-ship. The current Bank notice requires a Bachelor or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized university plus at least 2 years of physiotherapy experience in a hospital or clinic; a postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy gets preference. The schedule is only 2 working days per week and 2 hours per day, with fixed remuneration of ₹7,200 per month. Applications must reach the Ludhiana Regional Office by 26 October 2026. Selection is through application scrutiny and interview, not a written examination.

About this Recruitment
Recruitment-specific overview from the published record.
This Punjab & Sind Bank engagement is materially different from a normal bank officer or clerical recruitment. It is a part-time contractual physiotherapy retainer role at the Bank's Regional Office in Ludhiana, not a regular employee appointment. The Bank's own notice fixes the working pattern at any 2 working days per week, with 2 hours of work per day. The appointing authority decides those working days according to staff convenience; applicants should not assume they can freely choose their preferred days.
The academic filter is narrow and profession-specific. A Bachelor or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized university is acceptable, but applicants with a postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy receive preference. In addition, at least 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic as a Physiotherapist is mandatory. A generic graduate degree is not sufficient. The application form also asks candidates who are currently working as Physiotherapists to disclose the institution and working hours, which matters because this assignment is itself a small weekly time commitment.
The remuneration is a fixed ₹7,200 per month. Since the official schedule is 2 days × 2 hours = 4 scheduled hours per week, that corresponds to about 208 scheduled hours in a 52-week year. On a simple annualised calculation, ₹86,400 yearly remuneration divided by 208 scheduled hours is about ₹415 per scheduled hour. This is a SarkariSapna derived comparison, not an hourly rate published by the Bank; holidays, altered duty hours, absence, taxation and actual scheduling can change the practical economics. If the monthly retainer remained unchanged for the initial 2-year term, the nominal two-year gross would be ₹172,800, but the Bank expressly retains the right to review remuneration and alter duty hours/location, so this should not be treated as a guaranteed contract value.
The initial contract period is 2 years. Before expiry, the Bank may review performance and may extend the engagement by another 2-year term on retainer-ship basis if performance is satisfactory. Extension is not automatic. Either side can terminate the contract with 2 months' notice.
A hidden practical cost in this engagement is the substitute rule. If the Physiotherapist is continuously absent for more than 2 days, he or she must arrange a suitable substitute at personal cost, subject to the Bank's acceptance. The selected Physiotherapist must also bring basic equipment necessary for staff treatment. These two conditions mean the ₹7,200 figure should not be read as pure take-home economic benefit without considering professional equipment and substitute-related costs.
This engagement does not carry regular employee benefits. The notice says the Physiotherapist is not eligible for leave, leave fare concession, provident fund, gratuity, terminal benefits, bonus, reimbursement of medical expenses and other benefits available to part-time/full-time Bank employees. The engagement is temporary and does not create a claim to regular employment or regular employee pay and perks.
The job itself is broader than giving exercise advice. The official responsibilities include assessing staff physical, communication and cognitive skills, developing treatment plans, pain-relief exercise, reviewing progress and adapting treatment, physical and psychological assessment, workplace/home environment assessment, equipment advice, rehabilitation programmes, record/report maintenance and care in accordance with applicable professional law and guidelines.
Selection has no written test. The Bank first scrutinizes applications, then emails shortlisted candidates for interview. Final selection is based on the interview. The notice also creates a waiting-list mechanism: if the selected candidate refuses or does not accept the engagement within the stipulated timeline, the next candidate may be offered engagement in descending order of interview marks. The Bank also reserves the right to raise minimum eligibility standards to restrict the number called for interview.
Because there is no written examination in this recruitment, there is no genuine exam-date, written-exam admit-card or answer-key lifecycle to publish. Future shortlist/interview or final-selection notices, if the Bank publishes them, should be linked to this same recruitment record rather than creating a second job.
The application must be sent in the attached Annex-I format with self-attested copies of PAN/Aadhaar, educational qualification and experience certificates by Ordinary/Speed Post so as to reach the Regional Manager, Punjab & Sind Bank, Regional Office Ludhiana, 4th Floor, Jai Kartar Tower, Gobind Nagar, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana - 141001 on or before 26 October 2026. The envelope should be superscribed "Application for engagement of Physiotherapist on contractual basis at Punjab & Sind Bank, Regional Office Ludhiana". The Bank notice does not publish an application fee or an age ceiling, so neither has been invented in this record.
