SIMDEGA NHM RECRUITMENT 2026 — 18 CONTRACT POSTS, BUT THE DECISIVE FILTERS ARE POST-SPECIFIC REGISTRATION, EXPERIENCE, AGE AND AN 85+15 MARKING MODEL
District Health Society, Simdega has invited offline applications for 18 contractual vacancies under National Health Mission through Advertisement No. 01/NHM/2026. The official Simdega recruitment page lists the recruitment from 24 September to 17 October 2026, while the publication letter is dated 21 September 2026. The application must physically reach the notified office by 17 October 2026 at 5:00 PM.
1) VACANCIES ARE CONCENTRATED IN TWO POST GROUPS Post-wise vacancies: - Staff Nurse-RCH: 1 - Staff Nurse-NBSU: 1 - District Public Private Mix (PPM) Coordinator-NTEP: 1 - ANM-RCH: 6 - Block Data Manager-RCH: 1 - ARSH Counselor: 1 - Sanitary Attendant-NPHCE: 1 - Rehabilitation Worker-NPHCE: 6 Total: 18
ANM-RCH and Rehabilitation Worker-NPHCE together contribute 12 of 18 vacancies, or 66.67%. A candidate who reads only the headline '18 posts' may miss that two job families contain two-thirds of all seats.
2) RESERVATION ARITHMETIC IS UR 6, SC 5, ST 5, EWS 2 Across all 18 posts: - UR: 6 = 33.33% - SC: 5 = 27.78% - ST: 5 = 27.78% - EWS: 2 = 11.11%
There is no BC-I/BC-II seat in the current vacancy table.
3) SIMDEGA'S BC-I/BC-II RULE IS UNUSUAL AND MUST NOT BE MISREAD The notice cites the Jharkhand Personnel Department's 28 April 2026 direction that reservation for BC-I and BC-II posts is zero in Simdega district. It then states that eligible BC-I/BC-II candidates may apply under EWS with the prescribed EWS certificate issued at the competent Sub-Divisional Officer/Circle Officer level. Candidates affected by this rule should verify the exact certificate they hold before choosing category.
4) AGE IS CALCULATED ON 31 AUGUST 2026 The notice does not use the application closing date for age. Normal upper age: - UR: 35 - BC-I/BC-II: 37 - Women (UR/BC-I/BC-II): 38 - SC/ST men and women: 40 - EWS: 35
PwD upper age: - UR: 45 - BC-I/BC-II: 47 - Women (UR/BC-I/BC-II): 48 - SC/ST: 50 - EWS: 45
Applicants should calculate age on 31 August 2026, not 17 October 2026.
5) THERE IS NO SINGLE COMMON QUALIFICATION The eight post codes are materially different. Nursing Council registration is compulsory for Staff Nurse and ANM routes; RCI registration is compulsory for Rehabilitation Worker; the NTEP PPM Coordinator requires a permanent two-wheeler driving licence and actual ability to drive; Block Data Manager requires two years post-qualification relevant experience and local-language fluency; ARSH Counselor has two alternative academic routes.
6) STAFF NURSE POSTS REQUIRE BOTH GNM AND JHARKHAND NURSING COUNCIL REGISTRATION Staff Nurse-RCH and Staff Nurse-NBSU require 10+2/Intermediate plus a three-year GNM course recognised by Government and registration under Jharkhand Nursing Council. A GNM certificate without the required council registration should not be treated as complete eligibility.
7) ANM HAS SIX SEATS BUT REGISTRATION REMAINS A HARD FILTER ANM-RCH has six vacancies: SC-04 and EWS-02. The academic route is 10+2/equivalent plus a Government/INC-recognised ANM course and Jharkhand Nursing Council registration. It is not a generic 12th-pass vacancy.
8) THE NTEP PPM COORDINATOR IS THE HIGHEST-PAID POST BUT HAS THE MOST DISTINCT NON-ACADEMIC FILTER The District PPM Coordinator pays Rs.18,000 per month, the highest remuneration in the advertisement. Essential requirements include a postgraduate degree in any discipline, one year communication/ACSM/PPP/health-programme experience, a permanent two-wheeler driving licence and ability to drive. RNTCP exposure, relevant social-science/mass-media/communication/rural-development credentials and basic computer knowledge are preferential.
9) BLOCK DATA MANAGER IS NOT JUST 'GRADUATE + COMPUTER' The notice combines graduation with a specified one-year computer diploma/PG diploma/O-Level/other listed computer route, or the listed computer bachelor's route. It also requires at least two years post-qualification relevant experience, excellent interpersonal communication and written/oral fluency in the local language. The two-year experience condition is a substantial filter.
10) ARSH COUNSELOR HAS TWO DIFFERENT ELIGIBILITY ROUTES Route A: postgraduate degree in Psychology/Social Work/Sociology/Anthropology/Human Development. Route B: Diploma in Nursing plus minimum one year experience in adolescent work. The one-year adolescent-work condition is attached to the nursing-diploma route in the notice; it should not be automatically imposed on the postgraduate route. Knowledge of adolescent developmental stages and MS Office is required.
11) SANITARY ATTENDANT'S REAL FILTER IS EXPERIENCE, NOT CLASS 10/12 The academic entry is 10th/12th pass, but the notice separately requires at least two years of hospital work experience. A fresh 10th/12th-pass candidate without hospital experience does not satisfy the stated eligibility.
12) REHABILITATION WORKER REQUIRES RCI REGISTRATION The six Rehabilitation Worker posts require 10+2/equivalent, the notified 1.5-year Multi Rehabilitation Worker or CBRW qualification, registration as Rehabilitation Personnel under the Rehabilitation Council of India Act, 1992, and at least one year hospital experience. The registration condition is independent of the academic certificate.
13) MONTHLY REMUNERATION RANGES FROM RS.10,000 TO RS.18,000 - District PPM Coordinator-NTEP: Rs.18,000 - Staff Nurse-RCH: Rs.16,564 - Staff Nurse-NBSU: Rs.16,564 - Rehabilitation Worker-NPHCE: Rs.16,564 - Block Data Manager-RCH: Rs.15,000 - ARSH Counselor: Rs.15,000 - ANM-RCH: Rs.11,466 - Sanitary Attendant-NPHCE: Rs.10,000
At the advertised starting rates, filling all 18 seats gives a derived monthly remuneration pool of Rs.2,59,308 and a 12-month arithmetic total of Rs.31,11,696. These are derived calculations, not an official sanctioned annual budget or guaranteed take-home amount.
14) CONTRACT IS INITIALLY FOR ONE YEAR The notice states that contractual engagement is for one year and can be extended year by year based on Annual Performance Appraisal. This should not be presented as a permanent government appointment or automatic renewal.
15) ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES CAN BE VERIFIED FROM THE ISSUING INSTITUTION Selected candidates' original certificates can be sent for verification to the institution that issued them. If a certificate is found false, the contract may be cancelled with immediate effect and legal action can follow. This makes document authenticity a substantive employment condition, not merely an application-stage formality.
16) ONE-MONTH TERMINATION RULE APPLIES The contractual employee's engagement can be ended with one month's notice or one month's honorarium under the stated service condition.
17) THE MARKING SCHEME IS 85 ACADEMIC/HIGHER-QUALIFICATION MARKS + 15 ASSESSMENT MARKS Official 100-mark matrix: - 10th Board marks: 10 - 12th Board marks: 10 - Essential Qualification: 40 - Relevant Higher Qualification in concerned stream: 25 - Interview/Written Test: 15 Total: 100
The first four components total 85 marks. Therefore documentary academic profile and relevant higher qualification can account for 85% of the published scoring model, while the Interview/Written Test row contributes 15%. Marks are awarded pro-rata in the academic sections.
18) EXPERIENCE IS AN ELIGIBILITY FILTER BUT NOT A SEPARATE MARKS ROW Several posts require one or two years of experience, yet the published marking table does not contain a separate 'experience marks' component. Candidates should not assume their experience years automatically create extra marks beyond the published scoring scheme unless the selection committee issues a separate clarification.
19) THE COMMITTEE MAY USE WRITTEN / SKILL / INTERVIEW AS APPLICABLE The notice states that selection can be based on marks obtained in written examination, technical/skill test or interview, while the sample marking table labels the final 15-point component 'Interview/Written Test'. The exact assessment used for a particular post should therefore be followed from the later shortlist/test notice instead of being guessed now.
20) MERIT LIST HAS A SELECTED PART AND A WAITING PART The final merit arrangement includes the selected candidates and a waiting list. The waiting list can remain valid for one year and may be used in merit order against eligible vacancies arising during that validity period.
21) JHARKHAND LOCALITY POLICY IS EXPRESSLY APPLIED The notice says the Jharkhand locality policy applies and preference will be given to residents of Jharkhand. Reservation/category claims must be supported by the required competent-authority certificates.
22) OFFLINE DEADLINE MEANS 'RECEIVED BY 5 PM', NOT 'POSTED BY 5 PM' The application must reach the notified office by 17 October 2026 at 5:00 PM. A form merely dispatched before the deadline but received later can fail the deadline rule.
23) REGISTERED POST / SPEED POST ONLY The completed application in a closed envelope must be sent by Registered Post/Speed Post. Applications deposited in another office are liable to rejection.
24) ADDRESS AND ENVELOPE MARKING ARE PART OF THE PROCEDURE Application address: Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Medical Officer, Simdega, Sadar Hospital Campus, Post + District Simdega, PIN 835223.
The envelope should clearly mention Advertisement Number, Post Code and Post Name.
25) DEMAND DRAFT FEE IS POST-SPECIFIC APPLICATION PROCESS, NOT AN ONLINE PAYMENT - General / BC / EBC / EWS: Rs.400 - SC / ST: Rs.200
Demand Draft is to be drawn in favour of 'District Rural Health Society, Simdega-RCH', payable at Simdega.
26) EACH POST NEEDS A SEPARATE APPLICATION If a candidate applies for more than one post, a separate application must be submitted for each post. This prevents one combined form from covering multiple post codes.
27) CGPA CANDIDATES MUST ATTACH THE CONVERSION CHART Applicants using CGPA scores must submit the relevant CGPA-to-percentage conversion chart with the marksheet. Because the selection model is percentage/pro-rata driven, omitting the conversion evidence can directly affect score computation.
28) THE APPLICATION PACKET NEEDS MORE THAN THE FORM The notice requires the prescribed application form with self-attested copies of educational certificates/marksheets, matriculation document relating to date of birth, computer-proficiency certificate where applicable and two self-attested passport-size photographs, along with other applicable proof.
29) VOLUNTEER WORK DOES NOT COUNT AS WORK EXPERIENCE The prescribed form explicitly instructs applicants not to include volunteer work as work experience because it will not be recognised. Candidates claiming experience should attach self-attested proof for the employment periods they list.
30) JOINING HAS TWO ADDITIONAL COMPLIANCE DOCUMENTS At joining, selected candidates must provide an affidavit stating that no criminal case is pending against them and a health certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon.
APPLICANT DECISION CHECKLIST - Identify the exact post code before checking eligibility. - Match the vacancy's reservation category with valid Jharkhand certificates. - Calculate age on 31 August 2026. - Nursing applicants: verify Jharkhand Nursing Council registration. - Rehabilitation Worker applicants: verify RCI registration. - PPM Coordinator: verify permanent two-wheeler licence and actual driving ability. - Block Data Manager: verify two years post-qualification experience and accepted computer route. - ARSH Counselor: identify whether postgraduate or Nursing Diploma route applies. - Sanitary Attendant: do not ignore the two-year hospital experience condition. - Attach CGPA conversion evidence when relevant. - Do not count volunteer activity as experience. - Use a separate application for every post. - Pay the correct DD fee for category. - Mark Advertisement No., Post Code and Post Name on the envelope. - Use Registered Post/Speed Post only. - Plan for delivery to reach Simdega by 17 October 2026, 5:00 PM—not merely dispatch by that time. - Monitor the official Simdega district recruitment page for shortlist/test/interview updates.
BOTTOM LINE This recruitment is not one uniform 'NHM 18 vacancy' opportunity. It is eight different eligibility profiles sharing a common application envelope and a common 100-mark framework. The most consequential facts are the 66.67% concentration in ANM/Rehabilitation Worker posts, council/RCI registration requirements, category-specific age on 31 August, the 85-mark academic/higher-qualification weighting, post-specific experience traps, and the hard offline receipt deadline of 5:00 PM.
