AEES Recruitment 01/2026: a selection workbook, not another vacancy repost

The Atomic Energy Education Society (AEES), under the Department of Atomic Energy, has notified 254 tentative direct-recruitment vacancies across 25 subject or post entries. The real candidate problem is not finding the number 254; it is selecting the exact eligible subject, retaining proof of the correct teacher-training qualification, choosing an appropriate CTET paper where prescribed, and preparing for a two-step selection system that changes fundamentally for school leaders. This independently prepared workbook works through those decisions, as well as category arithmetic and original practice exercises.

Source hierarchy: the AEES Recruitment Notification 01/2026 (original 30-page English PDF) controls dates, roster and conditions; the official proforma/annexures PDF controls prescribed document formats; the AEES recruitment notice board controls subsequent changes. The linked SarkariSapna job record is a convenient cross-reference, not a substitute for the employer. All examples and questions below are original practice material, not previous AEES papers, published cut-offs or predictions.

Read this first: a general qualification, a professional qualification and the applicable CTET rule are separate gates. Passing the CBT never cures a missing essential credential. Likewise, a subject-wise vacancy in one category cannot be silently transferred to another category. All advertised vacancies are tentative, not guaranteed appointments.

Final keyWithin 15 days after CBT under announced timetable

Use the AEES application portal, check the application preview and save the completed confirmation page. A payment attempt without a successful confirmation is not evidence of a completed application. AEES allows applications for different eligible post groups, charging separately; however, it explicitly permits only one PGT subject within the PGT group and only one TGT subject within the TGT group. Choosing multiple TGT subject forms because you possess multiple degrees is not a permitted strategy.

Candidate action: preserve a dated screenshot or PDF of the completed application, fee receipt, category selected and subject chosen. Email and mobile number must remain functional. The original notice says not to send a printed application to the employer as an alternative to the online portal.

2. Real chart 1 — eight post families behind 254 seats

AEES 2026: official post-family vacancies

Post family Vacancies
TGT 102
PRT 89
PGT 27
Librarian 13
PRT Music 10
Balvatika 8
Principal 4
Vice-Principal 1

The two largest pools are TGT (102) and ordinary PRT (89), together 191 of 254 or 75.20% of seats. This is a vacancy-composition statistic, not a probability of being selected. TGT and PRT carry different qualifications and generally different CTET paper requirements. A seat cannot be borrowed across these pools.

The Principal and Vice-Principal pool totals five positions but has its own experience and scored-interview method. The 13 Librarian posts are not PRT jobs, and the ten PRT Music posts are not ordinary primary-classroom posts. These distinctions directly affect whether the right applicant should even submit a form.

3. Real chart 2 — vertical reservation correctly reconciled

AEES 254 tentative posts by vertical reservation

Vertical categoryVacancies
Unreserved (UR)112
OBC non-creamy layer68
Scheduled Caste (SC)33
Economically Weaker Section (EWS)25
Scheduled Tribe (ST)16

Verification: 112 + 68 + 33 + 25 + 16 = 254. The notification additionally identifies 12 PwBD horizontal earmarkings (9 locomotor disability, zero visually impaired, one hearing impaired and two others). Those 12 are already adjusted within the 254 vertical-category seats; adding 12 again would create a false total of 266. The relevant functional-ability and disability subcategory conditions must be checked for the particular post.

A general competition principle: the advertised UR column represents unreserved positions, not a reserved share of one caste. Claiming relaxation for a reserved vacancy when actually competing for UR may not be permitted; AEES expressly requires UR-competition standards where the notice so provides.

The row-level table is essential: a post with a large combined vacancy count can still have zero advertised seats in a particular category. Example: TGT Mathematics-Physics has 22 seats, including six SC, zero ST, five OBC-NCL, two EWS and nine UR. PGT History has only one UR vacancy. Candidates must compare the row corresponding to their eligible subject before choosing a reservation pathway.

5. Real chart 3 — subject-specific TGT seats

TGT subject-wise vacancies, 102 advertised seats

TGT subject Vacancies
Mathematics-Physics 22
English 14
Chemistry-Biology 13
Computer Science 13
Social Studies 11
Hindi-Sanskrit 9
P&HE Male 7
Art Education 7
P&HE Female 5
Marathi 1

The two top TGT lines are Mathematics-Physics (22) and English (14), but choosing a post because its bar is longer is a mistake without a degree-subject transcript review. TGT Computer Science has 13 posts under an independent professional qualification rule; TGT P&HE and Art are likewise exceptions to the standard CTET treatment.

6. What the qualifications actually require — route-by-route

Post familyEvidence to verify before choosing the application
PrincipalMaster’s at least 50%, prescribed B.Ed./integrated pathway and existing Principal Level 12 service OR qualifying Vice-Principal Level 10 service of three years OR prescribed PGT/Lecturer Level 8 service of twelve years/combined service; computer knowledge; age 35–50.
Vice-PrincipalMaster’s at least 50%, prescribed teacher-training pathway; serving VP Level 10 OR at least six years as PGT/Lecturer at Level 8 in specified government/autonomous organisations; computer knowledge; age 35–45.
PGT academic subjectsConcerned-subject postgraduate pathway at least 50% and prescribed B.Ed./integrated education qualification. Several subjects additionally require the subject at graduation. Upper age 40.
PGT Computer ScienceM.Sc. Computer Science/IT, MCA or M.E./M.Tech CS/IT (at least 50%) with the specified teacher-education qualification. Upper age 40.
TGT languageTGT English, Hindi-Sanskrit and Marathi: qualifying degree subject/main/elective for three years or six semesters, teacher-training pathway and CTET Paper II. Upper age 35.
TGT Maths-PhysicsMathematics as main/elective for three years, Physics for at least two semesters and one of Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science/Statistics for at least two semesters; eligible education pathway; CTET Paper II. B.Sc. Hons Physics/Chemistry exclusion stated.
TGT Chemistry-BiologyBiology/Botany/Zoology main subject for three years or six semesters with the official two subsidiary subjects, teacher education and CTET Paper II.
TGT Social StudiesTwo subjects among History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, with History or Geography as main/elective for three years and the second for two semesters; teacher education and CTET Paper II.
TGT Computer ScienceOne of notified B.Sc. CS/IT, BCA, BE/BTech CS/IT/Computer Engineering or DOEACC A Level with graduation routes, plus the advertised B.Ed. qualification. CTET exception; upper age 35.
TGT Physical & Health EducationRecognised B.P.Ed./Physical Education graduate routes at required 50% marks; male and female entries separate. CTET exception; upper age 35.
TGT Art EducationRecognised fine-arts-related degree with Drawing and Painting main throughout all degree years and B.Ed. as notified. CTET exception; upper age 35.
LibrarianBachelor’s in Library Science or Library and Information Science with at least 50%, plus computer application knowledge. Do not substitute any degree unrelated to library science; upper age 35.
PRTClass XII at least 50% together with notified two-year D.El.Ed., four-year B.El.Ed. or specified RCI two-year D.Ed. Special Education pathway, and CTET Paper I. Upper age 30.
PRT MusicClass XII at least 50% plus bachelor’s in Music/Performing Arts with Music as main subject in all years. Diploma in Music alone is not eligible. Upper age 30; CTET requirement is not copied from regular PRT.
BalvatikaClass XII at least 50%, English as subject, plus a minimum two-year nursery/preschool/ECCE teacher-education diploma or approved B.Ed. Nursery route. Upper age 30.

These are careful shorthand decision screens, not replacements for every alternative pathway in the 30-page notice. Compare the complete essential-qualification clause and its institutional recognition requirements with each original certificate. In particular, a degree title, year-wise subject history, NCTE/RCI approval and valid CTET result are independent facts; neither a high CBT score nor a coaching certificate substitutes for one of them.

7. CTET is not one rule for every school job

TargetRelevant CTET position in noticeWhat to verify
Regular PRTPaper I essentialCertificate issued on or before 22 Nov 2026; qualifying standard according to vacancy competed for
TGT English / Hindi-Sanskrit / MarathiPaper II essentialDegree-subject transcript, teacher education and valid Paper II
TGT Maths-Physics / Chemistry-Biology / Social StudiesPaper II essentialSpecific three-subject or two-subject combination in addition to CTET
TGT Computer ScienceExplicit exception to TGT CTET requirementSubject degree / training pathway still compulsory
TGT P&HE / ArtExplicit exceptions to TGT CTET requirementSpecialised professional qualification instead
PRT Music / Librarian / Balvatika / PGT / school leadersDo not extend regular PRT/TGT Paper I/II rule without source clauseRead each role’s own essential qualifications

The notice states CTET qualifying marks of 60% for UR posts and 55% for reserved SC/ST/OBC/PwBD posts. These are CTET percentages, not the same as the separate CBT shortlisting percentages. A reserved category applicant competing against UR cannot simply apply the reserved-post concession. Keep the downloaded CTET marks statement and issuance date with the application record.

8. Age relaxation cannot be blindly added

Rule or conditionOfficial notice treatment
Minimum age baseline18 years; specific Principal/VP minimum 35 years
Principal35–50 without relevant relaxation
Vice-Principal35–45 without relevant relaxation
PGTUpper age 40
TGT / LibrarianUpper age 35
PRT / PRT Music / BalvatikaUpper age 30
SC/ST, where vacancy reservedFive years upper-age relaxation
OBC-NCL, where vacancy reservedThree years upper-age relaxation
Women candidatesTen years for PGT, TGT, Librarian, PRT and Balvatika positions under notified clause; NOT an automatic Principal/VP concession
Multiple applicable concessionsConcurrent: only one highest permissible concession is granted, not their sum
PwBD / AEES employee / Central-government / Ex-servicemenIndependent, conditional and category/post-specific rules. Read notice section 3 before applying

Worked example: a 38-year-old woman applying for a TGT subject must first establish all academic and CTET eligibility and confirm the applicable woman-candidate age concession. Do not automatically add OBC three years and woman ten years to 35; the notice instructs applying the highest permitted concurrent concession instead. A 34-year-old candidate without a recognised elementary-training qualification cannot use age compliance as proof of PRT eligibility.

9. The two real CBT structures — do not mix 150 and 120

Post groupQuestions / marksDurationNegative marking
Principal150 / 1502 hours 30 minutesNo negative marking
Vice-Principal150 / 1502 hours 30 minutesNo negative marking
PGT / TGT / Librarian / PRT / PRT Music / Balvatika120 / 1202 hoursNo negative marking

All questions are MCQs. The headteacher 150-mark paper includes leadership and administration/finance; the 120-mark teaching and library group assigns 75 marks to the concerned subject, 15 to teaching methodology, and six five-mark general sections. School management preparation cannot replace the subject discipline on a subject-oriented TGT paper.

10. Real chart 4 — what occupies a 120-mark teacher CBT

AEES PGT/TGT/PRT-type CBT: mark allocation by component

75/120 = 62.5% is the subject contribution, 15/120 = 12.5% teaching methodology and 30/120 = 25% combined general subjects. This chart intentionally applies only to the 120-mark group; it is not the Principal or Vice-Principal 150-mark pattern. Six general components contribute five questions/marks each.

A realistic independent preparation method is to practise subject accuracy first, then pedagogy, then speed on the general 30 marks. No negative marking rewards rational attempts, but it does not make random guessing more useful than understanding. Test your pacing with a two-hour original mock and record wrong-topic clusters rather than chasing an invented expected cutoff.

11. CBT thresholds, invitation ratios and the GO / NO GO distinction

Candidate stageUR/EWS positionSC/ST/OBC/PwBD reserved position
Ordinary CBT threshold for shortlisting60%54%
Discretionary reduced floor ONLY if AEES exercises its optionNot below 55%Not below 49%
120-mark paper: ordinary threshold72 marks64.8 marks — check AEES rounding/shortlist implementation
150-mark paper: ordinary threshold90 marks81 marks

The reduced minimums are an AEES discretion where enough qualifying candidates are unavailable; they are not a candidate’s automatic entitlement and not a published final merit cutoff. In a 120-mark paper, 54% equals 64.8 mathematically. Because a one-mark-per-question paper produces whole-number raw marks, 65 or more is the first whole mark meeting 54% under simple arithmetic; however, consult AEES scoring and normalization instructions if any are subsequently published. Do not present 65 as a separate official cutoff score.

UR vacancy count within a post/categoryCandidates to be called under notification
15
28
310
412
5–102 × number of seats + 4, rounded as required
More than 10Ceiling(1.5 × seats) + 3, not fewer than 24
Reserved-category vacancies5 × relevant reserved seats

Example: one UR seat on TGT Marathi gives an invitation rule of five shortlisted candidates, not five jobs. Four UR seats in PGT English lead to twelve candidates by the notification table if all ordinary conditions are met. Six OBC positions in some other example would use five times the reserved vacancies for that category, not the UR formula. Meeting a threshold is necessary but does not guarantee an invitation.

For PGTs, TGTs, Librarian, PRT, PRT Music and Balvatika, a candidate must receive GO in the subject-oriented chalk-and-board skill test. The skill test is qualifying, not an added numerical score; a NO GO excludes an applicant irrespective of CBT rank. The appointment merit order among GO candidates follows CBT marks, with older age and then essential-qualification percentage as notified tie breakers. A high CBT score cannot compensate for a NO GO demonstration.

For Principal and Vice-Principal, final merit combines CBT and interview at 50:50 weightage. The candidate must independently meet the requisite 60% (UR) or 54% (reserved) mark requirement in both CBT and interview. A mathematical average above 60 does not rescue an interview score below its own stage threshold. The leadership tie breaker is older age first and then higher CBT marks.

12. Twenty-five official roster-reading cases, one for each advertised entry

Each case below takes numbers from a different row of the official vacancy table. The numerical check is objective; the candidate decision is an educational application of AEES rules. The worked exercises are not predictions of selection probability and are not official counselling advice.

Case 01: Principal — 4 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 1, EWS 1, UR 2; check 0 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 4. Application interpretation: One OBC-NCL and one EWS seat coexist with two UR seats. First prove master’s, professional education and specific leadership service in acceptable pay levels; a high interview score cannot create missing service. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 02: Vice-Principal — 1 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 0, EWS 0, UR 1; check 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 1. Application interpretation: The only position is UR. Candidates should compare their six-year qualifying PGT/Lecturer experience or existing vice-principal service with the notice; do not assume an OBC-reserved position exists. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 03: PGT English — 4 seats

Official row: SC 1, ST 1, OBC-NCL 0, EWS 0, UR 2; check 1 + 1 + 0 + 0 + 2 = 4. Application interpretation: The four seats include one SC, one ST and two UR, not a separate seat for every claimed PG combination. Confirm English postgraduate qualification and approved B.Ed. route. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 04: PGT Mathematics — 4 seats

Official row: SC 1, ST 1, OBC-NCL 0, EWS 0, UR 2; check 1 + 1 + 0 + 0 + 2 = 4. Application interpretation: The four-seat row also has one SC, one ST and two UR; verify Mathematics at graduation when required in subject-specific clause rather than relying only on MSc nomenclature. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 05: PGT Biology — 2 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 1, EWS 0, UR 1; check 0 + 0 + 1 + 0 + 1 = 2. Application interpretation: One OBC and one UR seat appear. A general Life Sciences title needs official equivalence checking rather than an assumed equivalence to the named essential qualification. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 06: PGT Chemistry — 3 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 1, EWS 0, UR 2; check 0 + 0 + 1 + 0 + 2 = 3. Application interpretation: Two UR and one OBC seat are advertised. Verify every semester and the recognised integrated or B.Ed. education component. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 07: PGT Physics — 2 seats

Official row: SC 1, ST 0, OBC-NCL 0, EWS 0, UR 1; check 1 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 2. Application interpretation: One SC and one UR seat appear; there is no ST slot in this row. Review the individual academic history and subject continuity. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 08: PGT Computer Science — 3 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 1, OBC-NCL 0, EWS 0, UR 2; check 0 + 1 + 0 + 0 + 2 = 3. Application interpretation: One ST and two UR seats are listed. A computer degree must fit MCA/MSc/ME/MTech route in the notice and the teacher-training condition is separate. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 09: PGT Commerce — 6 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 1, OBC-NCL 2, EWS 0, UR 3; check 0 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 3 = 6. Application interpretation: Three UR, two OBC and one ST seat appear. The notified Commerce degree distinctions matter: do not treat an excluded Applied/Business Economics specialisation as automatically accepted. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 10: PGT Economics — 2 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 0, EWS 1, UR 1; check 0 + 0 + 0 + 1 + 1 = 2. Application interpretation: One EWS and one UR seat are advertised. Establish qualification in the concerned subject and actual eligibility date; future results cannot substitute. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 11: PGT History — 1 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 0, EWS 0, UR 1; check 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 1. Application interpretation: One UR seat only. A post title such as History never means an ST or SC earmarking unless the row publishes it. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 12: TGT English — 14 seats

Official row: SC 3, ST 2, OBC-NCL 2, EWS 1, UR 6; check 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 6 = 14. Application interpretation: Six UR, three SC, two ST, two OBC and one EWS seat appear. English must be main/elective for the notified years, and the Paper II rule applies. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 13: TGT Social Studies — 11 seats

Official row: SC 1, ST 0, OBC-NCL 5, EWS 1, UR 4; check 1 + 0 + 5 + 1 + 4 = 11. Application interpretation: Five OBC seats versus four UR seats do not override the special two-subject rule. One subject must be History or Geography for the longer required duration. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 14: TGT Hindi-Sanskrit — 9 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 1, EWS 1, UR 7; check 0 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 7 = 9. Application interpretation: Seven UR, one OBC and one EWS seat appear. The named language must be studied as a main/elective for the prescribed years or semesters. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 15: TGT Mathematics-Physics — 22 seats

Official row: SC 6, ST 0, OBC-NCL 5, EWS 2, UR 9; check 6 + 0 + 5 + 2 + 9 = 22. Application interpretation: Nine UR, six SC, five OBC and two EWS seats appear; no ST seat. Maths main, Physics semesters and the third permitted subject must all be evidenced. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 16: TGT Chemistry-Biology — 13 seats

Official row: SC 3, ST 0, OBC-NCL 2, EWS 2, UR 6; check 3 + 0 + 2 + 2 + 6 = 13. Application interpretation: Six UR, three SC, two OBC and two EWS seats appear. The three-year major and named subsidiary combinations cannot be replaced with an unlisted generic biology degree. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 17: TGT Computer Science — 13 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 1, OBC-NCL 2, EWS 1, UR 9; check 0 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 = 13. Application interpretation: Nine UR plus one ST, two OBC and one EWS seat. This is a CTET exception, but the professional CS and teacher-education conditions still stand. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 18: TGT P&HE Male — 7 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 1, EWS 1, UR 5; check 0 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 5 = 7. Application interpretation: Five UR, one OBC and one EWS seats are listed. The professional physical-education route, not general sports participation, is the qualifying route. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 19: TGT P&HE Female — 5 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 1, EWS 1, UR 3; check 0 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 5. Application interpretation: Three UR, one OBC, one EWS seat appear. It is a distinct post line; do not merge with the male vacancy row. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 20: TGT Art Education — 7 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 1, EWS 1, UR 5; check 0 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 5 = 7. Application interpretation: Five UR, one OBC and one EWS seats. Drawing and Painting as main throughout the degree is an explicit condition; an unrelated design certificate is not enough. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 21: TGT Marathi — 1 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 0, EWS 0, UR 1; check 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 1. Application interpretation: One UR vacancy. Even a rare-post vacancy requires proof of Marathi as the core/elective degree subject for the notified period. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 22: Librarian — 13 seats

Official row: SC 1, ST 1, OBC-NCL 2, EWS 2, UR 7; check 1 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 7 = 13. Application interpretation: Seven UR, two OBC, two EWS, one SC and one ST seats. The Library Science degree is essential; experience as a classroom teacher is not a substitute. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 23: Primary Teacher (PRT) — 89 seats

Official row: SC 15, ST 5, OBC-NCL 38, EWS 8, UR 23; check 15 + 5 + 38 + 8 + 23 = 89. Application interpretation: Twenty-three UR, thirty-eight OBC, fifteen SC, five ST and eight EWS seats. Class XII and elementary teacher education plus CTET Paper I are separate proof gates. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 24: PRT Music — 10 seats

Official row: SC 0, ST 0, OBC-NCL 2, EWS 1, UR 7; check 0 + 0 + 2 + 1 + 7 = 10. Application interpretation: Seven UR, two OBC and one EWS seats. A Music diploma alone fails the stated bachelor-degree-with-music-main requirement. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

Case 25: Balvatika Teacher — 8 seats

Official row: SC 1, ST 3, OBC-NCL 1, EWS 1, UR 2; check 1 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 8. Application interpretation: Two UR, three ST, one SC, one OBC and one EWS seat. Class XII English and the specified two-year early-childhood diploma or B.Ed. Nursery route must be demonstrated. The row allocates posts, not applicants; the final invitation is separately governed by CBT and eligibility rules.

13. Twenty original selection-arithmetic and eligibility worked problems

Worked selection case 01: Paper ID confusion

Situation: A TGT candidate gets 74/120 but owns only CTET Paper I. Is the CBT score enough? Solution: No. The role requires Paper II when it is among the covered TGT subject posts; 74/120 does not cure a missing valid CTET Paper II or prescribed academic credential.

Worked selection case 02: Below ordinary UR threshold

Situation: An ordinary TGT UR candidate scores 71 out of 120. Solution: 71/120 = 59.17%, below the standard 60% shortlisting threshold of 72/120. An AEES discretionary lowering cannot be assumed.

Worked selection case 03: Exactly ordinary UR threshold

Situation: A PRT UR candidate scores 72 out of 120 with otherwise valid papers. Solution: 72/120 = 60%, so the ordinary CBT threshold is met; shortlisting still depends on post/category rank and available candidate-call ratio.

Worked selection case 04: 54 percent boundary

Situation: A reserved-post TGT candidate obtains 64 out of 120. Solution: 64/120 = 53.33%, under the ordinary 54% threshold. Under straight whole-mark arithmetic the next score, 65, equals 54.17%; do not assume relief to 49%.

Worked selection case 05: Principal UR ordinary threshold

Situation: Principal CBT score is 89 out of 150. Solution: 89/150 = 59.33%; ordinary UR 60% requires 90/150. Shortlisting threshold and eventual interview qualification are separate.

Worked selection case 06: Principal mixed-stage failure

Situation: A Principal UR candidate obtains CBT 120/150 and interview 45%. Solution: Even with a strong CBT, the interview independently fails the 60% UR stage threshold. A weighted composite above a number cannot cure the failed interview condition.

Worked selection case 07: Principal 50:50 calculation

Situation: Candidate A has CBT 105/150 and interview 80% with both required stage floors met. Solution: CBT percentage = 70%; half-weight contributes 35 points. Interview contributes 40. Composite = 75 on a 100-point weighting basis; actual scores are normalized by stage maximum.

Worked selection case 08: Vice-Principal 50:50 calculation

Situation: Candidate B earns CBT 120/150 and interview 62%. Solution: CBT = 80%, half-weight 40; interview half-weight 31, yielding composite 71. Both stages independently satisfy the UR 60% condition.

Worked selection case 09: GO/NO GO

Situation: A PGT candidate earns 110/120 but receives NO GO in chalk-and-board demonstration. Solution: 110 is an excellent numerical mock score but the official skill-test gate is qualifying. NO GO makes the candidate ineligible for empanelment regardless of CBT rank.

Worked selection case 10: GO with lower score

Situation: A TGT candidate earns 89/120 and receives GO; another earns 97/120 but receives NO GO. Solution: Subject to eligibility and vacancies, only the GO candidate remains in the teaching-post empanelment pool; the 97-point candidate is not rescued by a higher CBT score.

Worked selection case 11: Same-score tie

Situation: Two qualified, GO-scored TGT candidates have equal CBT marks but different ages. Solution: The elder ranks higher at the first official tie breaker. Essential-qualification marks are checked only at the subsequent tie-breaker stage.

Worked selection case 12: One UR vacancy invitation

Situation: TGT Marathi has exactly one UR vacancy. What is the listed UR call number? Solution: The notified UR ratio table specifies five candidates to call for one UR vacancy, subject to the qualifying and rank criteria; it does not create five vacancies.

Worked selection case 13: Three UR vacancies invitation

Situation: PGT Commerce has three UR seats. Solution: The call table specifies ten UR candidates for three UR vacancies. A candidate must first satisfy the applicable CBT condition.

Worked selection case 14: Nine UR vacancies invitation

Situation: TGT Mathematics-Physics has nine UR seats. Solution: For 5–10 UR seats, twice the vacancies plus four gives 2×9+4 = 22. This is a call-count computation, not the final selection count.

Worked selection case 15: Twenty-three UR vacancies invitation

Situation: PRT has 23 UR seats. Solution: For more than ten UR seats: ceil(1.5×23)+3 = ceil(34.5)+3 = 38, and 38 is already above the minimum 24.

Worked selection case 16: Two ST seats invitation

Situation: TGT English has two ST seats. Solution: The reserved-post call formula gives five times two = ten shortlisted ST candidates if sufficient qualifying candidates exist; do not apply the 2-UR-seat figure of eight.

Worked selection case 17: CTET eligibility timestamp

Situation: PRT applicant clears CTET Paper I on 24 November 2026 after the 22 November deadline. Solution: The notice requires a valid CTET certificate issued on or before the original closing date. The late result cannot be assumed eligible merely if the registration portal stays open longer.

Worked selection case 18: Concurrent concessions

Situation: A woman TGT candidate also belongs to OBC-NCL and seeks 10+3 years beyond the normal upper age. Solution: AEES specifies concurrent concessions: the highest single permissible concession, not an automatic sum. Her vacancy category and evidence also matter.

Worked selection case 19: Multiple TGT subjects

Situation: Applicant is qualified for both TGT English and TGT Hindi-Sanskrit and plans one form for each. Solution: AEES explicitly allows only one TGT subject/post within the TGT group. Choose the role where every qualification and CTET detail is documented.

Worked selection case 20: Fee category distinction

Situation: A woman applicant is exempt from the ₹750 application fee, but the portal charges ₹250. Solution: That follows the notice: all applicants pay the ₹250 processing charge, subject to applicable extra GST/bank charge. The exemption does not make the entire transaction free.

14. Practical teacher-demonstration training, not invented official skill topics

AEES states that the teaching skill test is subject-oriented and chalk-and-board based, with a GO/NO GO result. It does not publish your future assigned topic. The following are independently designed rehearsal problems and teacher-response models. They are NOT officially assigned AEES topics, nor are they a substitute for following the call letter.

Original demonstration drill 01: PRT mathematics

Practice topic: Place value with 506 and 560. Sample teaching move: Write both numbers; use a three-column hundreds/tens/ones chart; invite pupils to explain why a zero in tens changes the value; conduct a one-question check before erasing the board. Watch for confusing digit order with number magnitude. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 02: PRT English

Practice topic: A sentence versus a fragment. Sample teaching move: Put three examples on the board; ask learners to mark subject and finite verb; guide improvement of a fragment and test a fresh example. Avoid turning a five-minute demonstration into a long grammar lecture. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 03: PRT environmental studies

Practice topic: Local water use. Sample teaching move: Use a local observation, create a three-part board diagram showing source/use/conservation, ask for one household example, then check one actionable conservation behaviour. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 04: PGT Physics

Practice topic: Velocity-time graph and acceleration. Sample teaching move: State axes and units; illustrate slope as acceleration with two points; interpret negative slope in a physically plausible context; use one unit-consistency check. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 05: PGT Chemistry

Practice topic: Conservation of mass. Sample teaching move: Show a balanced reaction conceptually, distinguish symbols and coefficients, have a learner count atoms on each side and explain why changing subscripts is not a valid balancing method. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 06: PGT Mathematics

Practice topic: Quadratic roots via discriminant. Sample teaching move: Define ax²+bx+c; calculate discriminant on one concrete example; relate sign to number of real roots; solicit one independent calculation. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 07: PGT Commerce

Practice topic: Source documents and ledger. Sample teaching move: Trace one invoice to journal and ledger with clear dates, caution against double counting, and ask learners to identify the supporting record for a second transaction. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 08: TGT Mathematics-Physics

Practice topic: Distance versus displacement. Sample teaching move: Draw a simple L-shaped route; calculate path length, then represent displacement vector; ask whether starting and ending together changes distance or displacement. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 09: TGT Chemistry-Biology

Practice topic: Diffusion and osmosis. Sample teaching move: Use concentration diagram and selectively permeable membrane; build the distinction on the board and ask a diagnostic question about a cell placed in concentrated solution. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 10: TGT Social Studies

Practice topic: Evidence versus inference. Sample teaching move: Place two historically plausible source descriptions on the board; separate observable fact from interpretation; ask what corroborating evidence would change confidence. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 11: TGT English

Practice topic: Inference in short prose. Sample teaching move: Write a short original passage, underline a clue, ask which interpretation is supported, then model citing the exact phrase rather than guessing motive. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 12: TGT Computer Science

Practice topic: Nested condition and trace table. Sample teaching move: Write short pseudocode, make a value/branch/output table, show how the same indentation changes flow, then ask one input-tracing question. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 13: TGT Art Education

Practice topic: Perspective and horizon. Sample teaching move: Draw horizon and vanishing point; compare near/far objects, ask a learner to continue a perspective guide-line and explain why relative scale changes. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 14: TGT P&HE

Practice topic: Warm-up versus skill practice. Sample teaching move: Explain progression from low-intensity warm-up to sport-specific movement, note safety and participation adjustments, and ask learners to identify a risky practice. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 15: Librarian

Practice topic: Cataloguing and retrieval. Sample teaching move: Start with a research question, show author-title-subject access logic, demonstrate a false match and a better search query, and verify whether a retrieved item is relevant. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 16: PRT Music

Practice topic: Beat, rhythm and expression. Sample teaching move: Demonstrate a four-beat pattern, repeat with accent variations, ask learners to reproduce and describe the difference; keep the classroom activity inclusive. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

Original demonstration drill 17: Balvatika

Practice topic: Sorting shapes and language. Sample teaching move: Create three clear shapes, invite children to classify by one property, introduce descriptive words and use a short formative check in a play-based routine. Reflection question: Could a learner answer an independent check question without hints, and would the board remain legible from the back of the classroom?

15. Thirty original explained practice checks — not an AEES paper

These questions combine verifiable recruitment rules with pedagogical reasoning and numerical judgement. They are independent teaching material written for this guide. 16. A seven-session study-and-evidence plan adaptable to your actual post

SessionPractical outputWhy it matters
1 — documentary auditCreate a qualification matrix from original notice and year/semester transcriptsAvoid preparing for a subject with an incompatible degree combination
2 — roster and identityMatch chosen post, exact category column, CTET paper/certificate date and form subjectAvoid wrong-row and wrong-category assumptions
3 — subject baselineComplete an original 75-question subject diagnostic for PGT/TGT/PRT-style 120-mark groupIdentify domain gaps without inventing a prediction of AEES questions
4 — pedagogy and generalPractise 15 pedagogy and 30 general component questions against a clockLink official paper weighting to study allocation
5 — board rehearsalPerform two independent 6–8-minute chalkboard lessons; record explanations and error-check questionsDevelop the GO/NO GO teaching capacity that CBT rank cannot replace
6 — full mock and reviewAttempt an independently written two-hour 120-item practice paper or 150-item leadership paper as appropriateEstimate pacing and track errors; do not call it an official mock
7 — submission and verificationCheck portal, application post/subject, fee and generated confirmation; prepare all originalsTechnical completeness and eligibility proof matter independently of exam preparation

For Principal/VP candidates, reallocate subject diagnostic time toward school organisation, leadership, administration and finance and prepare 50:50 interview examples with documentary evidence of qualifying service. For Librarian candidates, use subject-oriented exercises in classification, metadata quality, retrieval and information literacy; do not pretend that a teaching class lesson is necessarily the official Librarian assigned test topic.

17. Application-fee calculations and payment traps

Applicant fee pathwayApplication chargeProcessing chargeBase amount before GST
Non-exempt applicant7502501000
Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen exempt category0250250

The official notice adds applicable GST charged by the bank. Therefore ₹1,000 and ₹250 are base amounts, not guarantees of final gateway-debited totals. When applying to separate eligible post groups, the prescribed fee is paid separately; do not extrapolate this to two PGT or two TGT subject forms, which are not permitted. If online status is not OK after a payment, use the official failed-transaction guidance and keep transaction evidence rather than assuming the form has been filed.

18. Document-verification preparation: what to assemble before CBT

  • Photo ID accepted by the notice: Aadhaar, voter ID, driving licence, PAN, passport, qualifying employer ID or other listed government photo ID; keep the original for examination verification.
  • Clear current photograph, matching signature, date-of-birth proof from Class X, and precise name-change gazette evidence where applicable.
  • All semester/year marksheets for the relevant qualification; degree/provisional degree; official conversion transcript if CGPA/GPA needs conversion to percentage.
  • Essential teacher-education credential and NCTE/RCI recognition information corresponding to the specific route; do not confuse a course label with institutional recognition.
  • Correct CTET marks statement and certificate for covered PRT/TGT post; check result and issuance date against original closing date.
  • Government-issued, appropriately formatted SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD documents where claimed, using AEES annexures and central-list rules; OBC-NCL has its own issue-date condition.
  • Service proof for Principal/VP: employer, designation, actual pay level, dates and qualifying regular service; NOC/vigilance clearance where required for existing employees.
  • Police Verification Certificate (PVC) or acknowledged application to local police station, as required by the notification for skill test/interview; review its recency rule rather than assuming an old PVC suffices.
  • Portal application and payment acknowledgement, working email/mobile, and any issued admit card or skill-test call letter; do not fabricate documents for stages not announced.

The notice includes prescribed proformas for reservation, disability and other evidence. Read the original AEES proforma annexures before preparing certificates; a self-declaration in the wrong format may be inadequate. For document-sensitive cases, consult the issuing authority or AEES rather than asserting that a borderline qualification is accepted.

19. Eighteen frequently confused decisions — concise and source-grounded

FAQ 01. Are 254 jobs confirmed final?

No. The official vacancy table says tentative and explicitly allows changes.

FAQ 02. Is an applicant from Jharkhand guaranteed a posting in Jharkhand?

No. AEES states all-India initial posting with no accepted request to change the initial station or region.

FAQ 03. Are the 12 horizontal PwBD slots additional to 254?

No; they sit within the vertical 254-seat roster.

FAQ 04. Can I take TGT Paper II CTET and use it for regular PRT?

The regular PRT entry asks for Paper I; do not substitute Paper II.

FAQ 05. Does TGT Computer Science need CTET in the same way as TGT English?

The notice explicitly excludes TGT Computer Science from that CTET requirement; its degree/training conditions continue to apply.

FAQ 06. Will a music diploma by itself satisfy PRT Music?

No. The notice requires the stated bachelor qualification with Music main in all degree years.

FAQ 07. Can I choose two TGT disciplines because I qualify for both?

No. Only one TGT subject may be selected within that family.

FAQ 08. Can I choose two PGT subjects?

No. Only one PGT subject/post is permitted within PGT.

FAQ 09. Is a 120-mark exam also used for Principal?

No. Principal and Vice-Principal have a separate 150-mark, 2.5-hour scheme.

FAQ 10. Is skill test scored into the PRT merit?

No. For PRT and listed teaching categories it is GO/NO GO; CBT determines merit among GO candidates.

FAQ 11. Does a CBT pass guarantee an invitation?

No. The shortlisting ranking and candidate-to-vacancy ratio still apply.

FAQ 12. Does AEES always lower CBT percentage to 55/49?

No. The clause makes lower floors discretionary under its shortage-of-qualifying-candidates situation.

FAQ 13. Is 50:50 interview weightage common to PRT and TGT?

No. The 50:50 selection arrangement is for Principal and Vice-Principal.

FAQ 14. Is a fixed CBT date announced?

FAQ 15. Is processing fee waived for women?

No. Application-fee exemption and ₹250 processing fee are distinct.

FAQ 16. Can I claim 10 years women relaxation plus 3 years OBC automatically?

No. The notice specifies concessions run concurrently and the highest permissible one applies, subject to each condition.

FAQ 17. Do I need an officially printed previous-year AEES question to practise?

No. Use the official paper structure and original practice sets; do not mislabel new exercises as a leaked or official paper.

FAQ 18. Will the final merit depend on my coaching mock accuracy?

No. Only official eligibility, CBT results and required skill/interview processes under the notification determine selection.

Apply only after performing this sequence: (1) locate your exact row in the 25-entry roster; (2) confirm class/degree subject durations and the relevant teacher-training route; (3) verify CTET where required and certificate issue date; (4) check age, category and format of supporting documents; (5) choose only one PGT or one TGT subject as applicable; (6) save successful payment and application acknowledgement; (7) follow the official portal for a genuinely dated examination/skill-test notice. A missing published CBT date must stay missing; never rely on fabricated admit-card, answer-key, result or cutoff records.
