AEES Recruitment 01/2026 — 254 PGT, TGT, PRT, Principal, Librarian and Balvatika Vacancies
The recruitment decision in one line: Atomic Energy Education Society (AEES), an autonomous body under the Department of Atomic Energy, is recruiting for 254 tentative direct-recruitment vacancies in 25 separate post/subject entries. Online applications are open 2 November 2026, 10:00 AM to 22 November 2026, 11:50 PM. Pay ranges from Level 6 to Level 12 of the Seventh CPC, not one common salary for every job. Recruitment Notice 01/2026 appeared on AEES's official recruitment listing on 31 October 2026; filenames of the official detailed notice and annexures contain 29.10.2026. Do not mistake older AEES promotional/LDE notices on the same website for the fresh direct recruitment 01/2026.
AEES operates 30 schools across 15 centres, including Jaduguda/Narwapahar/Turamdih in Jharkhand, Mumbai/Tarapur, Kaiga, Kalpakkam, Kudankulam, Hyderabad, Manuguru, Narora, Rawatbhata, Indore and Kakrapar. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India, and the notice rejects requests to change initial station/region. The employer's Mumbai headquarters is not a guaranteed posting.

Check: 102 + 89 + 27 + 13 + 10 + 8 + 4 + 1 = 254. These are provisional vacancies, subject to AEES's right to increase/decrease. TGT and PRT form 191/254 positions. Read the distinct qualifications before treating those two pools as interchangeable: TGT normally depends on graduation and CTET Paper-II; PRT depends on 10+2, elementary teacher training and CTET Paper-I.

🎓 The qualification traps that actually matter
Principal: a master’s degree and recognised education qualification plus current government/autonomous teaching-leadership experience in prescribed pay levels. It is not an open entry for any new postgraduate. Vice-Principal likewise has a six-year Level-8 PGT/Lecturer service alternative or existing VP service, with minimum age 35. PGT: subject-specific master's with integrated teaching/B.Ed. pathway; the Commerce advertisement excludes M.Com Applied/Business Economics. PGT Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics and History commonly require study of the concerned subject at graduation too. PGT Computer Science has its own M.Sc.(CS/IT)/MCA/M.E./M.Tech route plus approved education qualification.
Most TGT: approved subject combinations, appropriate teacher-education pathway, and CTET Paper-II. TGT Mathematics-Physics requires three separate subject constraints: Mathematics main three years, Physics at least two semesters and Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science/Statistics at least two semesters; the notice explicitly says B.Sc. Honours in Physics or Chemistry is ineligible for this particular TGT. TGT Chemistry-Biology and Social Studies also have restrictive multi-subject combinations. TGT Computer Science, P&HE and Art have independently advertised qualifications: no blanket application of the TGT CTET rule to those exceptions. Librarian needs Library Science/Library & Information Science, not generic graduation.
PRT: Class XII ≥50% and approved elementary teacher education and CTET Paper-I. PRT Music: bachelor in Music/Performing Arts with music main through all years; diploma in music alone is not accepted. Balvatika: 10+2 with English and nursery/preschool/ECCE diploma of at least two years or B.Ed.(Nursery). RCI Special Education routes specified for some TGT/PRT posts have a mandatory six-month programme after appointment. Skills such as classroom management can be useful, but they do not replace any essential credential.
💰 Salary: actual 7th CPC basic pay matrix, not fabricated take-home
| Post family | Pay level | Published basic pay scale (₹) |
|---|---|---|
| Principal | 12 | 78,800–2,09,200 |
| Vice-Principal | 10 | 56,100–1,77,500 |
| PGT — all 9 subjects | 8 | 47,600–1,51,100 |
| TGT — all 10 subjects and Librarian | 7 | 44,900–1,42,400 |
| PRT, PRT Music, Balvatika | 6 | 35,400–1,12,400 |
These figures are basic pay scales per month, not minimum or maximum monthly in-hand pay. Location-based allowances, deductions, actual gross salary and in-hand salary are not separately specified in the uploaded notice. Do not mistake ₹2,09,200 (top of Principal scale) for a new Principal's guaranteed starting pay.
💳 Fee is a two-part charge — everyone pays processing fee
| Applicant group | Application fee (₹) | Processing charge (₹) | Base total (₹) |
|---|---|---|---|
| General / OBC-NCL / EWS and other non-exempt | 750 | 250 | 1,000 |
| Women / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-servicemen | 0 | 250 | 250 |
Applicable GST is extra. The fee is payable online through the official application payment gateway. The ₹750 application component is exempt for notified groups, but ₹250 processing fee remains payable for every applicant. AEES says the regular application fee once remitted is non-refundable. If applying for more than one genuinely different post, a separate fee is charged for each selection, but an applicant may select only ONE PGT subject and only ONE TGT subject even when qualified for multiple subjects. Do not submit multiple applications for the same post. A confirmation page must be generated after completing all steps.
⏱ Age, cut-off date and relaxations
| Post | Base notified age |
|---|---|
| Principal | 35–50 years |
| Vice-Principal | 35–45 years |
| PGT | Up to 40 years |
| TGT / Librarian | Up to 35 years |
| PRT / Music / Balvatika | Up to 30 years |
All candidates must be at least 18 under the general age clause; the higher 35-year minimum applies to Principal/VP. Age, qualification and other eligibility are tested on 22 November 2026 even if a later extension is granted. Relaxations from page 12 include SC/ST 5 years, OBC-NCL 3 years, eligible women 10 years only for PGT/TGT/Librarian/PRT/Balvatika (not Principal/VP); PwBD UR 10 / OBC 13 / SC-ST 15 years; and designated AEES/central-government and ex-servicemen concessions. Relaxations are concurrent, not cumulative: when several apply, only the greatest permissible concession applies. A woman with disability cannot additionally apply the women clause to PwBD relief. SC/ST/OBC relaxations depend on vacancies reserved for the category, not an automatic concession against a purely UR post.
🧠 CBT preparation: three published test blueprints, no negative marking
Principal — 150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes
Principal CBT: 14 officially notified components and marks
| CBT subject | Marks |
|---|---|
| General English | 5 |
| General Hindi | 5 |
| General Reasoning | 10 |
| General Knowledge | 7 |
| Basic Computer Literacy | 8 |
| Numerical Ability | 10 |
| Understanding the Learner | 10 |

| Creating Conducive Learning Environment | 10 |
| School Organization and Leadership | 10 |
| Prospective in Education | 10 |
| Management Supervision and Leadership | 20 |
| Administration and Finance | 25 |
The test combines general language/reasoning/computer/numeracy with learner and classroom understanding, school organization, educational perspectives, and higher-weight management, administration and finance. No negative marking. Each section's actual numerical share is printed in the official notice p.21.
Vice-Principal — 150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes
VP includes the same broad education and leadership areas but has its own allocation of 150 marks: it is not identical to the Principal 150-mark distribution. Full section-wise allocation is included in the VP exam lifecycle record.
PGT, TGT, Librarian, PRT, PRT Music, Balvatika — 120 questions/marks, 120 minutes
| Written-test component | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| General English | 5 | 5 |
| General Hindi | 5 | 5 |
| General Reasoning | 5 | 5 |
| General Knowledge | 5 | 5 |
| Basic Computer Literacy | 5 | 5 |
| Numerical Ability | 5 | 5 |
| Teaching Methodology | 15 | 15 |
| Concerned subject | 75 | 75 |
| Total | 120 | 120 |
No negative marking in any of these three CBT blueprints. A candidate may revise education theory, general aptitude and the exact concerned post/subject. The 30-page notice provides the section framework, not a newly invented complete 75-mark subject-topic breakdown. Detailed subject syllabi are directed to the AEES application portal: use their officially provided version rather than an unverified coaching list.
🏁 CBT → Shortlisting → Interview / Skill Test → Final Merit
The standard CBT qualification bar is 60% for UR/EWS vacancies and 54% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD vacancies. If enough qualifying candidates are unavailable, AEES can lower thresholds, but not below 55% for UR/EWS or 49% for reserved categories. Meeting the threshold is not a guaranteed interview/skill-test call: AEES shortlists by rank and announced vacancy-linked ratios.
Principal/VP track: CBT → interview (Mumbai) → combined merit 50:50 from CBT and interview, with separate qualifying thresholds in both stages and prescribed age/CBT tie-breaks. Other posts: CBT → chalk-and-board Teaching Skill Test GO/NO GO (Librarian is included in the notified skill-test group) → only GO candidates ranked by CBT score. NO GO disqualifies even a high scorer. Ties are broken by older age and then percentage in essential qualification for these posts.
Skill Test/Interview is scheduled only in AEES Anushaktinagar, Mumbai, whereas CBT may be allocated at a tentatively listed city. AEES lists 44 tentative CBT city choices, including Ranchi, Patna, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi/NCR and others; city preference does not guarantee allotment. Dates, report times, admit cards and actual venue assignments will appear in candidate login after announcement.
🗂 Provisional key, objections, final key and results — exact future lifecycle
The provisional CBT answer key will be displayed within 3 days after CBT; objections must be made online within 72 hours of key display, at ₹250 per challenged question. A successful challenge earns a refund of the challenge fee. AEES expects to display the final answer key within 15 days of CBT; the final/revised key is visible for a maximum of 10 days after publishing. When a question is found invalid or multiple options correct, the notified rule awards one mark to all candidates who appeared for that question. These are relative deadlines, not fixed future dates. As of the original notice, no CBT date, admit card or actual answer-key result exists for Recruitment 01/2026; do not link earlier AEES LDE answer keys/results to this new recruitment.
🔎 Select panel, waitlist, verification and medical examination
The select panel will contain candidates equal to vacancies; an additional waiting list equal to vacancies may be published, valid for one year from empanelment. A waitlisted candidate gets an opportunity only under employer's stated non-joining/non-acceptance process—not an automatic appointment. Shortlisted candidates must produce originals and self-attested copies of all education, identity and reservation evidence plus the signed printout of the online application. Police Verification Certificate (PVC) not older than six months, or a duly acknowledged PVC application under the notice, is obligatory for skill test/interview access. Government/PSU/autonomous employees need employer NOC with vigilance clearance where applicable. Offers are followed by medical fitness examination. AEES may refuse appointment on failure to meet its medical requirements.
🗃️ Documents and annexures: what to prepare, not what to post
Documents include recent clear colour photograph, signature, Class X date-of-birth evidence, Class XII certificate/marks, complete year-wise/semester-wise degree and teacher-training marksheets, degree/provisional certificates, conversion certificates for CGPA/grades, CTET certificate where required, service/pay-level and experience documentation for Principal/VP, recognition and equivalence documents, category certificates, EWS income-and-asset certificate, OBC-NCL forms, disability/UDID documents where required, NOC/vigilance clearance for serving employees, and the later PVC/acknowledged application. Use proper scanner, not a phone camera/app, for uploaded copies per the notice. The sixteen-page official annexure pack provides OBC-NCL declaration/certificate, SC/ST, EWS, ex-servicemen and multiple PwBD/scribe/medical formats; choose the format actually applicable to you. EWS and OBC must meet the original validity rules; do not substitute a state-only OBC document for the specified central-format requirement.
✅ Application steps without missing the final confirmation
- Open the official AEES application portal from the employer's Recruitment page on/after 2 November, 10 AM.
- Check one chosen PGT subject/one chosen TGT subject, CTET where essential, graduation semester combinations and age/category validity before registration. More than one different post incurs separate fees; multiple applications to the same post can be cancelled.
- Enter name/DOB/parent details exactly as in Class X proof, complete all prescribed sections and upload properly scanned genuine documents, including category evidence.
- Pay ₹1,000 base total if not exempt, or ₹250 processing-only base if exempt, plus applicable GST. Verify payment shows successful status.
- Finish final submission by 22 November 2026, 11:50 PM; download/print the confirmation page. No confirmation page means incomplete application under the notice.
- Monitor AEES candidate login for CBT city, admit card, mock CBT, answer keys, shortlisting and Mumbai skill/interview; bring required originals and self-attested copies to DV.
🧭 Candidate-focused questions
Is this one application for any subject? No. Vacancy rows represent separate choices and discipline-specific qualifications. One PGT subject and one TGT subject maximum, per applicant, even if eligible for several.
Is CTET compulsory for everybody? No. It is required for PRT and notified mainstream TGT posts; it is not a universal PGT, Computer Science TGT, P&HE, Art, Librarian, Music PRT or Balvatika requirement.
Does the 120-mark CBT alone decide final selection? For non-Principal/VP posts, CBT marks determine ranking only among GO skill-test candidates; for Principal/VP, interview has equal 50% weight.
Will there be interview at a local CBT centre? No. AEES fixes skill/interviews at Mumbai; the CBT cities are a separate tentative list.
Is there negative marking? No, the published 120- and 150-mark schemes explicitly state no negative marking.
Can a senior teacher apply for Principal without suitable service? No: the postgraduate/B.Ed qualification must be accompanied by one of the exact notified service/pay-level routes.
Can an M.Com Applied/Business Economics candidate apply for PGT Commerce? The official notice expressly excludes that degree specialization.
Are 12 PwBD vacancies extra? No. The horizontal 12 are included in 254 vertical seats.
How long is the waiting list valid? One year after empanelment, if created, and subject to the advertised conditions.
What is the final authority? The original AEES 30-page notification, official annexures and employer's designated candidate portal. Recruitment Notice 01/2026 controls this article; old promotion quota notices do not.

No separate PwBD horizontal count is printed in this subject row; refer to the suitability and functional-requirement tables before applying. Selected candidates can be allotted any AEES centre in India; Mumbai headquarters does not create a Mumbai-only right of posting.
Principal/VP 150-mark CBT and later recruitment lifecycle
Selection: CBT (150 marks) followed by Interview; final composite merit with 50:50 CBT-interview weighting and separate qualifying standards. Written CBT has no negative marking. Principal and Vice-Principal interview occurs only at AEES Anushaktinagar, Mumbai. For UR/EWS notified vacancies, normal shortlisting qualifying percentage is 60%; for eligible reserved category posts it is 54%, subject to the limited official relaxation floor. Document checks include Class X age proof, qualifying academic marks, CTET where needed, caste/EWS/OBC-NCL/UDID evidence when claimed, and PVC or acknowledged police-verification application for interview/skill test. Appointment further depends on medical fitness.
