Recruitment-specific overview from the published record.
⏰ The application does not finish when the online form is submitted. For the National Health Mission (NHM), Chhattisgarh's 66 contractual Rural Medical Assistant (RMA) posts, candidates must complete the online form, upload their own signed form, and use Final Submit by 4 November 2026 at 5:00 PM. A second, independent condition applies: the signed paper application and supporting documents must reach the Mission Director's office in Nava Raipur by 10 November 2026 at 5:00 PM. A posting receipt dated 10 November is not a substitute for delivery by the cutoff.
The recruitment comes from Advt. NHM/ESTB/35900/2026/2590, issued and digitally signed on 15 October 2026. There is one post profile, RMA, with 66 vacancies; its required credential is a passed Practitioner in Modern and Holistic Medicine (PMHM) course and registration with the Chhattisgarh Medical Board. This is a ₹22,000/month consolidated contractual assignment, not an appointment to a regular pay matrix. Read the signed notification (eight pages).
| Particular | NHM Chhattisgarh RMA 2026 |
|---|---|

| Notice identity | NHM/ESTB/35900/2026/2590; signed 15 October 2026 |
| Advertised post | Rural Medical Assistant (RMA), contractual |
| Total vacancies | 66: UR 28, ST 21, SC 8, OBC 9 |
| Horizontal provision | 18 seats for women (within categories); 4 for persons with disabilities (within 66) |
| Essential qualification | PMHM course passed plus Chhattisgarh Medical Board registration by 15 October 2026 (clause 1.7) |
| Age at 1 January 2026 | 18–70 years for this medical post |
| Consolidated honorarium | ₹22,000 per month; no separately promised allowance |
| Online window | 21 October–4 November 2026, 5:00 PM |
| Mandatory physical receipt | 10 November 2026, 5:00 PM at the NHM office, Nava Raipur |
| Assessment | Academic marks, admissible experience and a 20-mark skill assessment |
| Skill-assessment minimum | 40% = 8 of 20 to qualify |
| Skill-test date, district allocation, exact format | Not announced in this notice |
These posts relate to Primary Health Centres in Chhattisgarh. The notification does not provide a district-wise/PHC-wise distribution; an applicant should therefore not choose or advertise an assumed district vacancy. NHM can adjust the number of posts according to actual availability. The advertised role carries contract conditions, annual assessment and possible extension; ₹22,000 is the stated consolidated monthly figure, not a guaranteed permanent government scale, gross-package breakdown or in-hand estimate. (Notification pp. 1, 6–8.)
Category-wise distribution of all 66 posts (UR, ST, SC and OBC are non-overlapping vertical groups):
Vacancies across UR, ST, SC and OBC
| Reservation category | Vacancies |
|---|---|
| Unreserved (UR) | 28 |
| Scheduled Tribe (ST) | 21 |
| Scheduled Caste (SC) | 8 |
| Other Backward Class (OBC) | 9 |
The vertical allocation is UR 42.42%, ST 31.82%, SC 12.12% and OBC 13.64% of the notified 66 places (rounded independently to two decimals). ST accounts for 21 of the 38 reserved-category seats, a relevant point for PMHM-qualified Chhattisgarh candidates assessing their own category's notified supply; it is not a prediction of selection difficulty or an expected cutoff. The signed vacancy table gives no separate EWS row or district-wise roster; neither can be treated as a notified vacancy category/location breakdown.
Women-reserved seats: UR 8, ST 6, SC 2, OBC 2 = 18 of the above 66. Persons with disabilities: 4, also from within the 66. These horizontal provisions are not 18 + 4 new posts: the advertised total stays 66, not 88. The notice does not distribute the four disability-reserved places across UR/ST/SC/OBC, and does not establish that the women and disability groups are mutually exclusive. (p. 1, section 01.)
NHM expressly restricts appointment against SC/ST/OBC reserved seats and the women/PwD-reserved places in this notice to eligible local residents of Chhattisgarh. A candidate seeking the state-reserved benefit needs the competent authority's Chhattisgarh original-residence proof and, where relevant, category or disability certificate. Without the required residence certificate, the candidature is handled as unreserved for the stated provisions and cannot claim the local fee waiver or reserved preference. Someone whose SC/ST/OBC certificate comes only from a different state should not assume it grants a Chhattisgarh reserved-seat entitlement. Eligibility to apply from another state is separate from eligibility for a state-restricted reservation. The mission applies the relevant government reservation rules and amendments. (pp. 3–4, clauses 2.4 and 4.3–4.5; p. 6, clause 6.9.)
Both of the following are mandatory for RMA: (1) having passed the Practitioner in Modern and Holistic Medicine (PMHM) course; and (2) being registered with the Chhattisgarh Medical Board. The advertisement does not give a blanket substitution for MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BSc, a nursing qualification or any differently named course. Nor does it announce a minimum PMHM percentage as a threshold for submitting the form; marks become relevant in shortlisting and merit calculation. Candidates should use the exact credential and registration stated in the signed notice. (p. 1, section 02.)
The qualification cut-off is the advertisement date, 15 October 2026, not the later online opening or final-submission date. Clause 1.7 requires all academic and other eligibility requirements to have been completed by the advertisement date. A PMHM result or registration acquired only after 15 October cannot be presumed acceptable simply because the form stays open until 4 November; documents obtained later to cure missing eligibility will not be accepted. The notice provides no alternative qualification-equivalence table or additional district-wise language-test requirement. The educational-record recognition rules of the issuing institution and its relevant authorities also apply. (pp. 2, 7.)
| Test | Rule and consequence |
|---|---|
| Minimum age | 18 years on 1 January 2026 |
| Maximum age for this RMA medical post | 70 years on 1 January 2026 |
| 64-year upper age in the general notice | Applies to managerial posts, not to this RMA vacancy |
| Current NHM Chhattisgarh RMA employee | Not eligible to apply again for the same post under clause 1.6 |
| Other age relaxation | The notice does not supply any separate numerical RMA category-wise relaxation period |
The restriction on currently serving NHM Chhattisgarh RMAs is easy to miss. Prior experience in NHM and currently occupying the same RMA job are different propositions: the former may influence admissible experience points, whereas the latter is expressly excluded by the application directions. (p. 2, clause 1.6; p. 3, clause 3.)
The fee grid on p. 3 has two salary bands. Since RMA's consolidated pay is ₹22,000, use only the below ₹25,000/month band:
| Applicant group for this RMA advertisement | Exam/application fee |
|---|---|
| Chhattisgarh local-resident applicants who meet the residence-proof requirement | ₹0 |
| Other-state applicants who are women or persons with disabilities | ₹100 |
| Other-state applicants treated as unreserved, outside that women/PwD concession | ₹300 |
The ₹200 and ₹400 figures elsewhere in the notice belong to posts paying above ₹25,000, so they must not be charged/displayed as the fee for this ₹22,000 RMA vacancy. The application says fee-liable out-of-state candidates must pay online, put the payment reference number into the application-fee section and complete Final Save. Non-payment when due, or an incomplete fee reference, can cause rejection. A refund entitlement is not announced in the eight-page notice. (pp. 2–3, clauses 2.1–2.6.)
| Order | Candidate action | Deadline or essential condition |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Open NHM Chhattisgarh's official recruitment page and select the 2026/2590 RMA advertisement's application entry | Online application opened 21 October 2026 |
| 2 | Enter personal, PMHM, registration, category/domicile and relevant experience details; complete the fee reference if applicable | Check names, dates and certificate claims against originals |
| 3 | Use Final Save of Application, download the generated form and personally sign it | Before online closure |
| 4 | Scan the signed form, upload it as a PDF and click Final Submit | 4 November 2026, 5:00 PM |
| 5 | Prepare the hard-copy packet: signed form + one set of self-attested supporting documents | Clearly write Rural Medical Assistant (RMA) on the closed envelope |
| 6 | Send only by registered post, speed post or courier to the official address | It must arrive by 10 November 2026, 5:00 PM during office hours |
Mandatory delivery address: Mission Director, National Health Mission (Chhattisgarh), Third Floor, Health Building, Sector-19, North Block, Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Chhattisgarh – 492002.
The form's Final Save and Final Submit are distinct actions. Merely filling the form, making an applicable payment, downloading a PDF or posting an unsigned printout does not meet the full requirements. The physical-receipt deadline is not an extension of the online form's deadline. Keep the application number, payment reference (if relevant), signed copy, courier tracking and proof of office delivery. The application instructions say incomplete documents, late completion and later-added qualification documents will not be entertained. (pp. 2–3, clauses 1.1–1.7, 2.3–2.6.)
The original notice gives a vacancy-count-based multipler for scrutiny/written/skill/interview shortlisting, not a promised selection ratio or an interview date:
| Number of advertised vacancies | Maximum candidates called under the rule |
|---|---|
| 1–10 | 10 × vacancies |
| 11–50 | 5 × vacancies |
| More than 50 | 3 × vacancies |
| This RMA notice: 66 | Up to 198 candidates (66 × 3) |
The 198 is an upper bound, subject to eligible applications and roster/selection requirements; it does not mean 198 candidates have been shortlisted, invited or issued call letters. An eligible/not-eligible list, claims and objections, and later assessment announcements are to appear on the official NHM website. The date and form of the RMA skills assessment are not yet fixed in the original PDF. (pp. 3–4, clauses 4.1–5.2.)
This is not a conventional 100-question exam with a notified syllabus and negative-marking pattern. The notice defines a merit calculation and leaves the assessment method (written/computer-based/interview/other) to the authority.
How the maximum 100 points are distributed for the NHM Chhattisgarh experience route:
Maximum selection scores: academic, experience and skill
| Selection component | Maximum marks |
|---|---|
| Essential-qualification academic score | 65 |
| Admissible NHM Chhattisgarh work experience | 15 |
| Skill assessment | 20 |
The chart is a maximum-score composition, not an exam-paper blueprint, expected cutoff or prediction of a candidate's marks. It uses one experience route: relevant NHM Chhattisgarh service. A candidate taking the other admissible government/publicly supported work-experience route has a different 10-mark ceiling and therefore a 95-mark overall ceiling instead.
| Assessment rule | Exact notified calculation |
|---|---|
| Academic contribution | Qualifying aggregate percentage × 0.65; up to 65 marks |
| NHM Chhattisgarh service | 3 marks per eligible year, capped at 15 |
| Other admissible public / government-funded service | 2 marks per eligible year, capped at 10, instead of NHM-CG's 15-mark route |
| Skill assessment | Up to 20 marks; 8/20 required to pass independently |
| Relevant private institution experience | No experience marks under the published merit-scoring rule |
Do not add both experience routes. The notice does not allow 15 + 10 = 25 experience marks. In either pathway, failing the separate 8/20 skill minimum disqualifies the candidate, even if the aggregate merit score is high. The maximum totals are route-specific arithmetic ceilings, not notified merit cutoffs. (pp. 4–6, clauses 5.2–5.8, 6.1–6.7.)
The generic selection paragraphs call the qualifying academic course 'graduation/postgraduation', while this specific vacancy explicitly requires PMHM. Applicants should check which marksheets the portal treats as the essential PMHM qualification; they should not substitute an unrelated degree or invent a conversion formula. For illustration only, an officially accepted aggregate of 80% translates to 52/65 academic points (80 × 0.65). NHM's final determination of which educational marks qualify controls the actual score.
Eligible experience evidence is restricted for scoring to employment with government, semi-government or government-funded institutions. Experience with a recognised private institution may be considered in eligibility/screening, but does not earn experience points. The employer's signed certificate must identify the relevant post, service and authentic work period; the notice excludes a certificate with errors or overwriting. When a minimum qualifying experience is prescribed for a role, only experience beyond that threshold is scored; for this RMA, the notice does not separately stipulate mandatory pre-entry years. (pp. 4–6, clauses 5.4–5.8 and 6.3–6.5.)
A worked method (not an official candidate result) shows the difference: if the authority accepts 80% essential-course marks (52 academic points) and the candidate earns 16/20 in skills, three accepted NHM Chhattisgarh service years could add 9, producing 77. Three accepted years in another eligible public institution could add 6, producing 74. Three private-sector years might still be accepted as experience evidence but contribute zero experience marks, producing 68. These calculations do not predict merit rank, invite a candidate, establish the notified cutoffs or guarantee that the underlying certificates will be accepted. They simply show the notice's arithmetic.
The skill component is 20 marks, with at least 8 marks necessary. It may be organised as an appropriate written, computer-based, interview or other skill assessment. The notice does not publish a paper-wise syllabus, subject list, question total, exam duration, negative-marking rule, assessment day, reporting time or admit-card release date. The official NHM website will be the source of later lists and test instructions. The notice also permits a required test at the NHM state office in Nava Raipur without reimbursement of travel expenses. A future selection-stage provision does not mean an exam date or admit card has already been issued. (pp. 6, 8, clauses 6.6–6.7, 8.1–8.2.)
The authority requires the originals and one self-attested set at document checking and the relevant examination/skill/interview stage, as applicable. It identifies:
The claim deadline matters: NHM's instruction at clause 4.2 says objections are considered against documents claimed in the original application; new documents cannot simply be added during the objection stage to establish an undeclared eligibility claim. Screened eligible/ineligible lists and the prescribed objection process will be posted on the department's site. This makes the initial document inventory important before the online final submission and paper dispatch. (pp. 3–5.)
The lifecycle is sequential, but the release of each later document has not already happened:
The notice makes clear that being included in a panel does not itself confer a right to appointment. Actual selection, post count and formal offer remain controlled by the mission. A reserve-panel place may be utilised against subsequent non-joining, resignation or other vacancies under the notice's terms. (pp. 3–4, 6–7, clauses 4, 5, 6.10 and 7.2–7.3.)
| Condition | What the signed notice means for the applicant |
|---|---|
| Compensation | ₹22,000 consolidated per month; no separate allowances/facilities promised |
| Appraisal | Annual performance review; unsatisfactory performance can prevent renewal |
| Continuation | Possible extension in the next year depends on appraisal and the Government of India's approved Record of Proceedings (RoP); not automatic permanence |
| Early termination or resignation | Notice specifies one month's advance notice, or adjustment of one month's remuneration where the relevant contractual rule applies |
| Posting/transfer | Role is transferable within the state; reporting at the ordered location and time is mandatory |
| Other service obligations | NHM Chhattisgarh contractual HR policy, 2018, with amendments; appointment after document scrutiny |
| Ongoing litigation | Recruitment remains subject to the final order in Supreme Court SLP(C) 19668/2022; the advertisement itself does not announce the case's outcome |
| Selection rights | Applying or reaching the panel does not guarantee engagement; actual vacancy and selection procedures control |
Candidates comparing this vacancy with a regular government medical role should not treat contractual increments, a permanent pension entitlement, fixed HRA or permanent district allocation as published benefits; the notice does not promise them. (pp. 6–8, clauses 7.1–7.17.)
The controlling documents are the signed NHM RMA advertisement, 15 October 2026 (eight pages) and the official NHM Chhattisgarh recruitment listing, where advertisement 2026/2590 is listed for online application and further instructions. Later corrections, candidate lists, objections, skill-test instructions or result releases should be taken from this official source rather than assumed from a generic examination calendar.
The two actions to protect now: (1) submit the signed-PDF online application by 4 November 2026 at 5 PM; (2) arrange delivery of the signed physical packet by 10 November 2026 at 5 PM. Their deadlines serve different steps, and neither substitutes for the other.

A passed Practitioner in Modern and Holistic Medicine (PMHM) course AND Chhattisgarh Medical Board registration are both compulsory. All year/semester mark sheets and the relevant award/certificate must show the requirements were completed by the advertisement date, 15 October 2026. No MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/other-course substitution or minimum percentage threshold is given in the specific RMA qualification table. The general scoring clauses refer to essential qualification marks: the recruiting authority/portal controls which eligible PMHM record is used.
Required: No · Description: No pre-entry minimum years are separately imposed for this RMA profile. For merit, NHM Chhattisgarh relevant service may earn 3 marks/year up to 15; other recognised relevant eligible public/semi-government/government-funded service may earn 2 marks/year up to 10. These routes are not cumulative. Private experience may be recognised in eligibility/scrutiny but does not earn experience marks. Employer-signed, accurate certificates are essential to claim points. Current NHM Chhattisgarh RMAs cannot apply to this same post.
🩺 Role and eligibility: One contractual Rural Medical Assistant (RMA) post profile with 66 seats at NHM Chhattisgarh. A passed Practitioner in Modern and Holistic Medicine (PMHM) course and Chhattisgarh Medical Board registration are mandatory by the 15 October 2026 notification date. ₹22,000/month is consolidated contractual remuneration, not a permanent pay-matrix salary.
📊 Notified seats: UR 28, ST 21, SC 8, OBC 9. Women 18 and persons with disabilities 4 are horizontal provisions within 66, not additional vacancies.
⏰ Two independent deadlines: Complete Final Save → print and sign → upload signed PDF → Final Submit by 4 November 2026, 5 PM. A signed physical application with self-attested documents must reach the Mission Director, NHM, Nava Raipur by 10 November 2026, 5 PM.
🧮 Selection: Qualifying academic marks weighted to 65, eligible experience up to 15 (NHM CG) or 10 (other admissible public service), plus 20 skill marks; 8/20 is independently compulsory. Up to 198 applicants may be shortlisted for 66 notified seats.
⚠️ Exclusion: Currently serving NHM Chhattisgarh RMAs cannot apply for the same post; Chhattisgarh domicile controls state-specific reservation and fee privileges. No skill-test date or exam admit card was issued in this eight-page notice.
Contractual RMA service at Primary Health Centres in Chhattisgarh as assigned by NHM; the eight-page notice does not itemise clinical procedures or specify district-by-district assignments.
Exactly 66 vertical seats: UR 28, ST 21, SC 8, OBC 9. Within these 66, women-reserved seats total 18 (UR 8, ST 6, SC 2, OBC 2) and PwD-reserved seats total 4. Horizontal seats are NOT additive or necessarily mutually exclusive; no vertical breakdown for the four PwD seats is supplied. Local Chhattisgarh residence proof is required for the state-restricted SC/ST/OBC, women and PwD reserved entitlements; absent it, candidature is treated as UR for these purposes. No separate EWS count or district split is notified.
Recruitment-level qualifications and eligibility rules. Post-specific conditions are also shown inside each vacancy card.
Passed the notified Practitioner in Modern and Holistic Medicine (PMHM) course with all required educational records completed by the 15 October 2026 advertisement date (clause 1.7). A different professional degree is not an automatically acceptable alternative.
Valid Chhattisgarh Medical Board registration, in addition to passing PMHM, is an indispensable professional credential for the RMA post.
Chhattisgarh local residence certificate is necessary to claim the state resident fee exemption and relevant reserved category, women/PwD benefits. Other state applicants apply in the unreserved category subject to notified fees.
An applicant who is presently serving as a Rural Medical Assistant under NHM Chhattisgarh is explicitly excluded from applying for the same RMA vacancy (original notice clause 1.6).
No minimum service years are separately mandatory. Academic score: qualifying marks percentage ×0.65. Accepted NHM Chhattisgarh experience: 3 marks/year, max 15; other admissible relevant public/semi-public/government-funded experience: 2 marks/year, max 10; private experience: zero marks. 20-mark skills assessment requires at least 8 marks. The experience scoring routes are alternatives.

Selection stages in the order configured for this recruitment.
Online application, Final Save, print-sign-scan-upload signed form, Final Submit; deadline 4 November 2026 at 17:00 IST.
Signed form plus self-attested documents must physically reach Mission Director NHM office by registered post/speed post/courier no later than 10 November 2026 at 17:00 IST.
The authority scrutinises all online and physically received documents against PMHM qualification, Medical Board registration, category/domicile, age and prior NHM RMA exclusion. The official site is to publish a provisional eligible/ineligible list; no release date is notified.
Claims/objections may be submitted in the prescribed format by the department-specified email after provisional list publication. Only documents/claims recorded in the original application are admissible. No actual objection window or email instructions have been published in this eight-page notice.
Under clause 5.1, 50+ vacancies trigger a three-times-vacancies calling cap. Thus 66 positions allow up to 198 applicants for further screening/test, not a guaranteed invite count; relevant documentary and roster checks apply. Selection scoring includes up to 65 academic points and admissible experience.
Originals and self-attested copies may be checked at notified scrutiny or skill/interview stage: age proof, all PMHM marksheets, course certificate, Chhattisgarh Medical Board registration, domicile/category and authentic employer-issued experience/NOC as relevant.
Skill component is 20 marks, with mandatory 40% (8 marks). Official notice permits relevant written/computer-based/interview/other assessment, but fixes no date, venue for all cases, syllabus, question paper pattern or separately released admit card. Testing may be held at NHM state office without travel reimbursement.
Final merit calculated from 65-point academic weighting, ONE admissible experience route (up to 15 NHM CG or 10 other qualifying public service), and skill marks subject to 8/20 qualifying floor. Any 66-seat waitlist is a reserve panel, not extra advertised seats; applicable one-year/next-recruitment rule and roster apply.
Actual contract appointment subject to verification, vacancy availability, selection committee decisions, Supreme Court SLP(C) 19668/2022 final order and NHM HR policy. Posting is transferable in Chhattisgarh; remuneration ₹22,000/month consolidated, subject to annual appraisal and notice/termination terms.
