CFTRI Rec.02/2026 Technician (1) — TE11 Sheet Metal Worker Trade Test and Written Examination

Officially notified assessment for TE11 (Sheet Metal Worker), Rec.02/2026. First a practical trade test in Sheet Metal Worker (qualifying; exact test tasks, marks, exam date and threshold not yet notified), then three written objective papers for trade-test qualifiers: Paper I 50 Mental Ability questions/100 marks/60 min, zero negative marking, qualifying; Paper II General Awareness 25 questions/75 marks plus English 25 questions/75 marks = 50 questions/150 marks/30 min, -1 per wrong answer; Paper III Sheet Metal Worker concerned-trade 50 questions/150 marks/60 min, -1 per wrong answer. Total 150 questions/400 marks/150 minutes. Final merit uses ONLY Paper II+III (300 marks), subject to Paper I threshold decided later. Exam could be OMR or computer-based; questions English/Hindi except English section. Standard SSC+ITI/XII. Tie rules: higher trade marks, fewer trade negatives, fewer merit-paper negatives, older DOB, earlier essential credential, alphabetical first name.
