NIT Raipur 2026 Screening — Technician

Official screening test — Technician (not a generic recruitment syllabus)

One mark per correct answer, minus 0.25 mark for each wrong answer, no penalty for unanswered questions. These are the published tentative screening-test rules; exact examination date, venue, shifts and any future information handout are not announced here.

Part A — 20 questions/20 marks

General Intelligence and Reasoning; Quantitative Aptitude; General Knowledge and Computer Awareness; English Language and Comprehension.

Part B — 80 questions/80 marks

• Architecture & Planning: Class XII at least 50% plus one-year or longer ITI Carpentry; OR Class X at least 60% plus two-year ITI Carpentry
• Chemical Engineering: Three-year diploma in Chemical Engineering; diploma-level subject knowledge.
• Chemistry: Science Class XII with at least 60%; domain at higher-secondary level with Physics and Chemistry focus.
• Civil Engineering: Three-year diploma in Civil Engineering; diploma-level domain.
• Computer Applications: Science Class XII with 60%; OR Class XII with 50% plus one-year or longer ITI COPA; OR Class X with 60% plus two-year ITI COPA
• Computer Science & Engineering: Three-year diploma in the specified Computer Science, IT, software/hardware engineering or networking streams; diploma-level CSE/IT domain.
• Electrical Engineering: Three-year diploma in the stated Electrical/Electronics/ECE/E&I/Instrumentation disciplines; diploma-level Electrical/ECE subject domain.
• Mechanical Engineering: Class XII with at least 50% plus one-year ITI Diesel Mechanic/Motor Mechanic/CAM Programmer/Tool and Die Maker; OR Class X with at least 60% plus two-year ITI in stated trade; OR three-year Mechanical diploma
• Metallurgical & Materials Engg: Class XII 50% plus one-year ITI Forger/Heat Treater; OR Class X 60% plus two-year ITI in that trade; OR three-year diploma in the notified Metallurgy/Materials/Mechanical subjects
• Mining Engineering: Class XII 50% plus one-year ITI Electrical/Electrician/Fitter; OR Class X 60% plus two-year related ITI; OR three-year Mining diploma
