Recruitment-specific overview from the published record.

NHM Idukki Recruitment 2026: 46 Contract Vacancies, 15 Distinct Eligibility Routes and the Official 4 PM Deadline

The most useful way to read this district notification is not to begin with the number 46. First determine which of its fifteen jobs you are actually eligible for, because the qualification and evidence rules change sharply even between similar nursing posts. The four-page advertisement, NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3 dated 29 October 2026, was listed on the Government of Kerala’s Arogyakeralam Idukki page on 30 October. It closes on 12 November 2026 at 4:00 PM. Applications are online only, and supporting educational certificates must be uploaded. It is a district NHM contract advertisement—not a recruitment for permanent Kerala Government service.

Important same-day development: the District Programme Manager issued a separate order on 29 October cancelling earlier online applications and active rank lists under NHM Idukki for administrative reasons. Do not confuse that older-process cancellation with a withdrawal of the new 46-seat advertisement. Both originals are linked below; candidates relying on any old application or rank position should check the new form and official instructions instead. The same online-form URL also appears against a July recruitment on the district index, so verify the live form’s notice/post context before final submission.

🔎 1. Start here: 12 applicant decisions that matter

Your questionAnswer grounded in the 29 Oct notice
Is this one job or 15?One recruitment notice covering 15 different post titles and 46 seats
Biggest vacancy block?Mid Level Service Provider — 16, followed by Staff Nurse — 9
How many nursing-related seats?MLSP 16 + Staff Nurse 9 + Palliative Staff Nurse 3 + RBSK Nurse 5 = 33 of 46; RBSK Coordinator is a separate 1-seat role
Is ₹450 Hospital Attender pay monthly? No: ₹450 per day; number of paid days is not stated
When does the form close?12 Nov 2026 at 4:00 PM IST, not midnight
Is there a fixed online opening hour? Not stated in the 4-page PDF; website lists the recruitment on 30 Oct
How old can an Epidemiologist be?Up to 65 for MBBS doctors, but 40 for other graduates; age as on 1 Oct 2026
Is a degree helpful for Hospital Attender?Quite the opposite: degree-holders are expressly excluded; Class VII pass required
Does every nurse need one year of work? No. GNM applicants to MLSP do; B.Sc Nursing applicants to MLSP are not assigned the same year in this notice
Does MSc Nursing RBSK Coordinator require three years? No three-year period is printed on the primary MSc route. The three-year requirement applies to the fallback BSc route
Is there an announced written exam or interview date? No. Do not assume any date, pattern, negative marking or final shortlist
Can an old NHM Idukki rank list be relied upon? The District Programme Manager’s separate 29 Oct notice cancels earlier applications and current rank lists

What the numbers actually tell you: MLSP alone accounts for 16/46, about 34.8% of all posted seats. But that does not imply that an eligible nursing candidate can freely switch between MLSP, ordinary Staff Nurse, Palliative Staff Nurse or RBSK Nurse: each profile has a different certificate/experience route. Do not add 16 MLSP to 9 Staff Nurse and call them 25 identical nursing jobs.

🧭 3. Use a qualification-first route, not a vacancy-count-first guess

If your main evidence is...Check this specific roleNon-obvious requirement
GNM + Kerala nursing registrationStaff Nurse, Palliative Nurse or MLSPPalliative adds 45-day BCCPN; GNM MLSP adds one year after qualification
B.Sc Nursing + Kerala nursing registrationStaff Nurse / MLSP / Palliative NurseBCCPN separately required for Palliative; no year printed for B.Sc MLSP
M.Sc Nursing + Kerala nursing registrationRBSK CoordinatorPrimary route; computer knowledge desirable; not three compulsory years on MSc
B.Sc Nursing plus three yearsRBSK Coordinator only conditionallyFallback if primary-qualified M.Sc candidates unavailable
JPHN/ANM training + SSLCRBSK NurseAt least 18-month course and correct auxiliary-nursing registration
MPH with public-health training or medical experienceEpidemiologistPG route vs medical-graduate five-year route; age exception only MBBS
BDS/B.Sc Nursing + MPHJC (M&E)One post-qualification experience year for priority route
BAMS + MPHJC (M&E) only conditionallyConsidered only if above-qualified applicants are unavailable
B.Sc MLT or approved DMLTLab Technician; potentially STLSSTLS additionally needs computer certificate and permanent two-wheeler licence
Standard VII pass without a degreeHospital Attender₹450 daily; degree-holder exclusion is explicit

A degree, registration or work period mentioned under one row should not be imported into another row automatically. Professional registration is a separate check where the advertisement prints it.

🎓 4. Fifteen role profiles: exactly what the original four pages require

01. Epidemiologist — 2 seats

Source: p. 1. Academic route: Graduation plus PG degree/diploma in Preventive & Social Medicine, Public Health or Epidemiology (such as MD, MPH, DPH or MAE); alternatively, a medical graduate with five years in Epidemiology/Public Health.

Experience and registration test: The five-year experience is compulsory on the medical-graduate alternative. The two-year public-health programme/epidemiology experience under the first pathway is marked desirable.

Why this is easy to misread: A non-MBBS MPH applicant cannot assume the 65-year MBBS age concession. An MBBS applicant should not assume the medical graduation alone substitutes for the stated five years of experience.

A practical self-check: A graduate plus MPH may qualify through the PG route with the listed two-year experience marked desirable. A medical graduate without that postgraduate route needs five years of relevant work.

What to have ready: PG or medical degree; relevant discipline and course record; for the medical-graduate alternative, dated certificates proving five years in Epidemiology/Public Health; MBBS evidence if claiming 65-year age ceiling.

02. Audiologist — 2 seats

Source: p. 1. Academic route: Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP), Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registration and three completed years of post-qualification experience.

Experience and registration test: All three components are printed together. Experience before the qualifying degree should not be counted as post-qualification service.

Why this is easy to misread: A BASLP degree without current RCI registration or without three post-qualification years does not satisfy the advertised profile.

A practical self-check: A candidate who completes three years only after the 12 November application deadline should not presume the missing period can be made up later.

What to have ready: BASLP degree, valid RCI registration evidence, employer-issued certificates with work period and responsibilities.

03. Data Manager (Block Public Health Unit) — 1 seat

Source: pp. 1–2. Academic route: Three explicit alternatives: (A) postgraduate Computer Science with at least three years experience; (B) B.E. in IT/Electronics, basic computer and MS Office competence, with preference for health/social-sector work; (C) graduation plus PG Public Health degree, demonstrated public-health data management and certification in SPSS/Stata/R or comparable data platforms.

Experience and registration test: Three-year minimum belongs to the Computer Science PG route; health/social-sector work is a preference under the B.E. route. The Public Health route requires demonstrated data management and platform certification.

Why this is easy to misread: A generic computer course is not the same as the PG Computer Science / B.E. / PG Public Health qualifications. A software certificate does not replace a missing degree.

A practical self-check: B.E. Electronics with documented MS Office knowledge may follow route B even without the three years prescribed only to route A; confirm the form captures the correct route.

What to have ready: Marksheets and degree certificates for the chosen one of three routes; for route A, dated three-year experience; for route B, proof of basic computer skills; for route C, project/work documentation and relevant platform certificate.

04. Ophthalmic Assistant — 1 seat

Source: p. 2. Academic route: Route A: Pre-Degree/Plus Two with Physics and Chemistry plus Biology/Mathematics, together with an approved two-year Ophthalmic Assistant diploma or equivalent and two relevant experience years. Route B: recognised Optometry/Ophthalmic Assistant degree with two relevant experience years. Valid Kerala Paramedical Council registration also specified.

Experience and registration test: Both routes require two years relevant experience. Council registration is not merely desirable.

Why this is easy to misread: Having Plus Two science alone does not meet route A; having a degree without two relevant years does not complete route B.

A practical self-check: A diploma from an unrecognised training centre requires clarification of official recognition before applying.

What to have ready: Plus Two subject list plus recognised diploma OR the recognised degree, with two-year experience evidence and Kerala Paramedical Council registration.

05. Staff Nurse — 9 seats

Source: p. 2. Academic route: GNM or B.Sc Nursing together with valid Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council registration.

Experience and registration test: No extra compulsory experience period or palliative-care course is printed in this Staff Nurse row.

Why this is easy to misread: A palliative nursing certificate is required for the separate Palliative Care row, not universally for this 9-seat Staff Nurse row.

A practical self-check: A registered GNM applicant should compare this Staff Nurse profile with MLSP: MLSP imposes one year experience on its GNM route, this entry does not.

What to have ready: GNM/B.Sc Nursing qualification and a current Kerala nursing registration certificate or official verification.

06. Staff Nurse — Palliative Care — 3 seats

Source: p. 2. Academic route: GNM or B.Sc Nursing, valid Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council registration, AND a 45-day Basic Certificate Course in Palliative Nursing (BCCPN).

Experience and registration test: The 45-day BCCPN course is a compulsory separate condition in this entry; ordinary nursing registration does not waive it.

Why this is easy to misread: A Staff Nurse applicant should not select the Palliative Care post without this course even when their base nursing degree is otherwise eligible.

A practical self-check: A registered B.Sc Nurse who attended only an unrelated short palliative awareness workshop has not demonstrated the advertised BCCPN.

What to have ready: GNM/B.Sc Nursing, Kerala nursing registration, certificate confirming BCCPN completion and 45-day duration.

07. Mid Level Service Provider (MLSP) — 16 seats

Source: pp. 2–3. Academic route: B.Sc Nursing with Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council registration OR GNM with valid Kerala council registration PLUS one year post-qualification experience.

Experience and registration test: One-year post-qualification experience is explicitly attached to the GNM alternative, not the B.Sc Nursing route.

Why this is easy to misread: A newly registered GNM graduate with no year of practice does not automatically qualify via the B.Sc route; these are separate alternatives.

A practical self-check: A B.Sc Nursing holder can apply under the degree route without inventing a one-year experience requirement not printed against that route.

What to have ready: B.Sc Nursing and Kerala council certificate, OR GNM and council certificate plus dated one-year post-qualification experience.

08. RBSK Nurse — 5 seats

Source: p. 3. Academic route: SSLC, JPHN training from a government/government-accredited institution (at least an 18-month ANM course) and valid Kerala Auxiliary Nurses and Midwifery Council registration.

Experience and registration test: School certificate, approved JPHN/ANM training and relevant Kerala registration are distinct compulsory steps.

Why this is easy to misread: A general nursing credential does not automatically replace the precise JPHN/ANM course in this notification.

A practical self-check: A candidate with an ANM certificate from a private institute should establish whether the institution meets the advertised government/accreditation condition.

What to have ready: SSLC pass certificate; JPHN/ANM certificate showing 18-month minimum and institutional approval; Kerala auxiliary nursing registration.

09. Pharmacist — 1 seat

Source: p. 3. Academic route: D.Pharm OR B.Pharm and Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration.

Experience and registration test: Professional registration remains required regardless of which approved pharmacy degree/diploma is used.

Why this is easy to misread: Finishing B.Pharm does not by itself establish valid state council registration.

A practical self-check: A pharmacy graduate registered only outside Kerala should confirm that the demanded Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration is available before submitting.

What to have ready: D.Pharm/B.Pharm degree or diploma and valid Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration.

10. Senior Tuberculosis Laboratory Supervisor (STLS) — 1 seat

Source: p. 3. Academic route: Recognised graduate or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology; at least two-month certificate in computer operation; a permanent two-wheeler driving licence AND ability to drive; valid Kerala Paramedical Council registration.

Experience and registration test: The one-year NTEP experience is stated as preferred, not mandatory; computer certificate, licence, riding ability and registration are expressly listed requirements.

Why this is easy to misread: A lab diploma alone fails the complete checklist if the candidate lacks the permanent two-wheeler licence or computer certificate.

A practical self-check: A valid learner’s licence is not the same as the expressly stated permanent licence.

What to have ready: MLT degree/diploma and institute recognition; two-month computer course; permanent two-wheeler licence; Kerala Paramedical Council registration; NTEP experience if any.

11. Junior Health Inspector (JHI) — 1 seat

Source: p. 3. Academic route: Plus Two / VHSC with Biology, diploma in Health Inspector course and valid Kerala Paramedical Council registration.

Experience and registration test: One year of post-qualification experience in the same field is desirable, not compulsory.

Why this is easy to misread: A generic science higher-secondary course without the Health Inspector diploma does not complete the notified qualification.

A practical self-check: Applicants with exactly the core three credentials but no one-year experience should not automatically self-reject: the source labels experience desirable.

What to have ready: Plus Two/VHSC records showing Biology, approved Health Inspector course diploma and valid Kerala registration.

12. RBSK Coordinator — 1 seat

Source: pp. 3–4. Academic route: PRIMARY: M.Sc Nursing plus valid Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council registration; computer knowledge desirable. ONLY in the absence of candidates qualified through this pathway: B.Sc Nursing plus valid Kerala registration and three years of post-qualification experience; computer knowledge desirable.

Experience and registration test: The three-year post-qualification experience is printed in the FALLBACK B.Sc Nursing block, not as a universal condition for the initial M.Sc Nursing route.

Why this is easy to misread: A B.Sc Nurse with three years does not gain equal priority over a qualified M.Sc Nurse: fallback consideration is conditional.

A practical self-check: An M.Sc Nursing applicant should not be wrongly screened out for lacking three years of experience; the source attaches those three years to the alternative B.Sc route.

What to have ready: For priority M.Sc route: degree, council registration and computer knowledge evidence if available. For fallback B.Sc route: nursing degree, registration and certificates proving three years post-qualification work.

13. Lab Technician — 1 seat

Source: p. 4. Academic route: B.Sc MLT from a recognised university OR DMLT approved by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), with valid Kerala Paramedical Council registration.

Experience and registration test: DME approval for the diploma route and Kerala registration are nonnegotiable documentary checks as written.

Why this is easy to misread: A private laboratory short course is not a stated substitute for B.Sc MLT or DME-approved DMLT.

A practical self-check: If a diploma bears a familiar institution name but no DME approval evidence, independently establish its approval status before applying.

What to have ready: B.Sc MLT proof or DME-approved DMLT, plus valid state paramedical registration.

14. Junior Consultant (Monitoring and Evaluation) — 1 seat

Source: p. 4. Academic route: A Master of Public Health (MPH) is mandatory. Priority profile: BDS OR B.Sc Nursing alongside MPH and one year post-qualification experience. Only if the above-qualified candidates are not available, MPH plus BAMS may be considered.

Experience and registration test: MPH is compulsory for both pathways. BAMS is expressly a conditional second route, not a blanket replacement for the BDS/B.Sc profile.

Why this is easy to misread: BAMS alone is not enough; and an MPH + BAMS candidate cannot claim the primary route’s selection preference.

A practical self-check: A BDS + MPH candidate with no post-qualification year does not satisfy the priority route as printed. An MPH + BAMS candidate is considered only under the source’s fallback clause.

What to have ready: MPH and BDS/B.Sc Nursing certificates, plus one year post-qualification experience for the priority route; for fallback, MPH and BAMS certificates.

15. Hospital Attender — 1 seat

Source: p. 4. Academic route: Must have passed Standard VII (Class 7); candidates who possess a degree are expressly ineligible for appointment.

Experience and registration test: The exclusion applies to degree-holders; do not convert the condition into “maximum education Class VII” or claim that all Class VIII/X pass applicants are automatically excluded.

Why this is easy to misread: A candidate with a completed bachelor’s degree is excluded despite satisfying the seventh-standard minimum.

A practical self-check: Passing Class X but not holding a degree is not expressly disqualified by this sentence; the authority should be consulted about any other educational-equivalence issue.

What to have ready: Proof of passing Standard VII; candid declaration of educational qualifications and age.

🎂 5. Age calculation — an exception attached to MBBS, not the job title

The original table fixes the age reference at 1 October 2026. Fourteen role lines show a maximum age of 40 years. For Epidemiologist it prints not above 65 for MBBS doctors and *not above 40 for other graduates. The second line is not optional small print: an MPH-qualified non-MBBS candidate cannot use the MBBS ceiling just because both apply to “Epidemiologist.”

Applicant categoryMaximum age on 1 Oct 2026What is not in the PDF
MBBS-qualified Epidemiologist65 yearsNo special category-wise relaxation table
Other Epidemiologist route40 yearsNo blanket 65-year eligibility
Other 14 post titles40 yearsNo numeric minimum age, DOB-window chart or special relaxation period

Date example (interpretation, not an official DOB table): someone who has just turned 40 on 1 October 2026 is not over the published 40-year ceiling. A person already 41 on that date is outside the ordinary published limit absent later authoritative clarification. Do not shift the age test to the 12 November application deadline. This PDF does not prescribe an exact minimum age or community-specific age relaxations, so no such numbers are inserted.

💰 6. Salary audit: five listed monthly-style rates and one true daily wage

The job table gives five monetary rates for 14 monthly-remuneration profiles, plus one ₹450 per day category. It does not publish basic pay level, HRA/DA, grade pay, in-hand deductions or assured monthly workdays. The amounts are reproduced as printed; monthly grouping is for applicants' comparison, not proof of a Government pay matrix.

Do not “convert” the Hospital Attender's ₹450/day into ₹13,500/month. That assumes 30 paid days, which the notification never guarantees. For the same reason, do not call the listed amounts take-home salary. Salary information is included for every single post in the structured records; long identical payment disclaimers are not repeated fifteen times.

📝 7. The online form: a deadline-and-document workflow

  1. Open the 30 October recruitment entry on the NHM Idukki official district page and follow its link to the online application form. The same short-form link appears under a July entry as well, so examine the current available post options and notice context rather than treating a generic saved link as proof of a fresh submission.
  2. Choose the exact post profile. Before entering data, work backwards from its mandatory degree/course, registration and post-qualification service rules. Do not upload an unrelated certificate in place of a professional council registration.
  3. Prepare legible educational qualification certificates; the four-page notice explicitly requires uploading all certificates supporting the prescribed academic qualifications. It does not specify an official size limit, picture dimensions or document naming convention: follow the live form where those details appear.
  4. Verify the age reference (1 Oct), the applicant's actual alternative route, degree-result dates and any qualifying experience chronology. For the primary/fallback posts, include the appropriate evidence and avoid claiming both routes as one.
  5. Submit before Thursday, 12 November 2026, 4:00 PM IST. The authority states that late applications are summarily rejected. Save the form acknowledgment and an accessible copy of the submitted details where the portal provides them. The notice does not announce a correction window.
  6. Do not deliver an application directly to the office. The PDF explicitly rejects direct office submissions under all circumstances. The contact details in the letterhead are for source identification and communication, not an offline filing route.

Fee clarification: No application fee amount or exemption schedule is printed in these four pages. This is not evidence that the fee is zero. Follow the live official form if it displays a confirmed payment instruction; do not pay any fee to an unrelated intermediary.

🗂️ 8. Why the 29 October cancellation notice materially changes applicants' next action

The District Programme Manager’s separate Malayalam notice dated 29 October states that earlier online applications for various NHM Idukki posts and current rank lists have been cancelled for administrative reasons. This is issued under the same NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3 file reference as the fresh advertisement. The correct public chronology is therefore:

Date / documentWhat it establishes
29 Oct 2026 — separate cancellationOlder applications/rank lists no longer provide a reliable basis for placement
29 Oct 2026 — signed new 46-seat PDF15 role-wise vacancies and conditions now advertised
30 Oct 2026 — government notice indexNew 46-post link and online form listed on NHM Idukki page
12 Nov 2026, 4 PM — final cut-offOnline application deadline printed in the new PDF

This does not say the new 46-seat recruitment has been cancelled. Nor does it prove that every old applicant must follow the same procedure without checking the new form: use the authority’s latest instructions. A website claiming that a previous rank-list position automatically secures one of these 46 seats is unsupported by the new official notices.

📚 9. Registration and evidence matrix: prepare documents for the right authority

Credential required by a roleSpecifically listed postsWhat to verify
Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council registrationStaff Nurse, Palliative Nurse, MLSP, RBSK CoordinatorCurrent, appropriate nursing registration; for RBSK Nurse, auxiliary nursing registration specified
Rehabilitation Council of India registrationAudiologistCurrent RCI record with BASLP
Kerala Paramedical Council registrationOphthalmic Assistant, STLS, JHI, Lab TechnicianThe original advertisement uses this wording; supply the required existing recognition/registration rather than inventing a replacement council
Kerala State Pharmacy Council registrationPharmacistMatch D.Pharm/B.Pharm to the state registration
Permanent two-wheeler licenceSTLSPermanent valid licence and actual ability to drive
45-day BCCPNPalliative Staff NurseStandalone course, not a short unverified workshop
Recognised course / DME approvalRBSK Nurse, Ophthalmic Assistant, Lab TechnicianCourse duration and awarding/approving body

The Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council explains registration and reciprocal-registration services. This helps candidates understand how to verify their own record; it does not replace the original NHM eligibility terms or guarantee eligibility by itself. Applicants should treat registration proof as a dated document, not an unsupported statement in a form.

🧪 10. Selection lifecycle: what has happened and what has not

Already announced: vacancies, academic entry routes, age, listed pay and online application closure at 4 PM. Not announced in this PDF: a written-test pattern, date, admit card, interview venue/timetable, ranking formula, final rank list, result date or joining date. A separate older NHM notice may describe written exams or interviews for its own recruitment; that does not create an examination for this one.

StageActual status at publication of this noticeCandidate action
ApplicationActive, online onlyUse correct government-listed form and upload evidence
Eligibility scrutinyExpected administrative verification, schedule not notifiedRetain readable originals of qualifications and required registrations
Test or interviewNot scheduled or specified by these four pagesCheck new government announcements, do not invent a hall-ticket date
Shortlist / rank listNot issued for this 46-post cohortFollow later post-wise official results; old lists cancelled separately
Appointment / contract joiningNot publishedDo not rely on an anticipated joining date

SarkariSapna’s linked exams, admit_cards, answer_keys, results and cutoffs arrays are therefore intentionally empty. Later, only actual new documents bearing the correct recruitment identity should be linked without generating a duplicate job.

🩺 11. Cases that settle frequent but costly eligibility mistakes

  1. GNM nurse with no post-qualification year: potentially eligible for ordinary Staff Nurse with council registration; not yet through the GNM-specific MLSP route.
  2. B.Sc Nursing plus Kerala registration, no employment year: MLSP education route is listed without the GNM route’s one-year requirement; other application checks still apply.
  3. GNM nurse with BCCPN from a 20-day course: the Palliative Nurse row specifies 45 days, so the shorter credential cannot be assumed equivalent.
  4. M.Sc Nursing with registration but no three-year job history: still follows RBSK Coordinator primary route, whose three-year period is not printed; V2 wrongly generalized it.
  5. B.Sc Nursing with exactly three years after qualification: a fallback for RBSK Coordinator, not an equal-priority replacement for available qualified M.Sc candidates.
  6. MBBS Epid with five years public-health work and age 62: may meet the advertised medical-graduate pathway and 65 ceiling, subject to proof and other conditions.
  7. Non-MBBS MPH Epid aged 44: the distinct 40-year ceiling applies; public-health PG training by itself does not unlock the MBBS exception.
  8. Epid with graduate+MPH but no two years: that two-year experience is described desirable for the PG route, not a universal minimum.
  9. Audiologist with RCI certificate but just two years: missing the three post-qualification years printed in the notice.
  10. B.E. IT applicant with MS Office skills: Data Manager has a B.E. alternative; it is not automatically subject to the PG Computer Science route’s three-year threshold.
  11. PG Computer Science applicant with two years: the specific Computer Science postgraduate route requires three.
  12. Public Health graduate with PG degree but no analytics certification: Data Manager’s public-health route also lists demonstrated data-management work and named software-platform certification.
  13. Ophthalmic Assistant with Plus Two science only: needs the approved two-year Ophthalmic course and two years work as well as registration.
  14. D.Pharm holder with only another state’s registration: the source requires Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration.
  15. STLS applicant with degree and no permanent licence: missing an expressly printed condition, regardless of technical lab skills.
  16. JHI with all certificates but no one-year job: the one-year period is desirable, unlike the diploma/registration obligations.
  17. B.Sc MLT and valid registration: laboratory technician route is possible; a DME-approved DMLT is the alternative, not an additional degree required of everyone.
  18. MPH + BAMS candidate for JC (M&E): may be evaluated only when the priority BDS/B.Sc Nursing + MPH-qualified candidates are unavailable.
  19. Degree-holder with VII-standard certificate for Hospital Attender: explicitly ineligible because a degree is held; higher formal education can hurt this particular application.
  20. Class X pass but no degree for Hospital Attender: the source excludes degree holders, not all candidates who ever passed Class X; the VII pass still must be proven.
  21. Applicant relying on July application ID: the 29 October cancellation order makes it unsafe to assume earlier submissions remain valid for this newly advertised cohort.
  22. Applicant submitting at 4:30 PM on 12 November: beyond the confirmed 4:00 PM cut-off; not saved by a general midnight portal assumption.

These are editorial worked decisions based on the printed routes, not decisions issued by NHM on particular individuals.

📍 12. Idukki job location versus district office address

The notice is issued from the District Programme Monitoring & Support Unit, Arogyakeralam, NHM Idukki, Painavu P.O., Kuyilimala, Idukki – 685603, contact 04862-232221. That is the issuing authority’s office address, not a guarantee that every appointee will work in Painavu or be offered a posting at the office. A role named “Block Public Health Unit” also does not identify which block is assigned. No detailed transfer, transport, shift or accommodation rules are printed. Since direct office applications are prohibited, visiting the office is not an alternative way to beat the deadline.

❓ 13. Candidate FAQ — answers from these exact sources

Q: Has NHM Idukki announced 46 permanent Government posts? No. The advertisement explicitly says contractual basis. It supplies no regular-cadre or pension promise.

Q: Which post has 16 vacancies? Mid Level Service Provider (MLSP). It has two nursing qualification routes with different work-experience conditions.

Q: Can GNM candidates apply for MLSP without experience? The GNM alternative requires a full one year of post-qualification experience; the B.Sc Nursing route is separate.

Q: Can B.Sc Nursing graduates apply for Staff Nurse without 1 year of experience? The ordinary Staff Nurse row does not prescribe a one-year mandatory period; valid Kerala nursing registration is required.

Q: Is a BCCPN certificate necessary for ordinary Staff Nurse? The 45-day BCCPN is written against Palliative Care Staff Nurse, not the ordinary Staff Nurse entry.

Q: How many RBSK Nurse vacancies are listed? Five, with SSLC, recognised JPHN/ANM course of at least 18 months and valid auxiliary nursing registration.

Q: Is M.Sc Nursing with 3 years mandatory for RBSK Coordinator? No. The three-year rule appears with the fallback B.Sc Nursing route; the M.Sc Nursing route is primary.

Q: Does RBSK Coordinator permit B.Sc Nursing? Only conditionally, when applicants with the primary M.Sc qualification are unavailable, and with 3 years post-qualification experience and valid registration.

Q: Is MBBS necessary for Epidemiologist? Not on the first graduate-plus-relevant-PG route. It is relevant to the 65-year age exemption and the medical-graduate alternative.

Q: How old can an MPH applicant be for Epidemiologist? A non-MBBS graduate faces the advertised 40-year cap as on 1 October 2026.

Q: Do all candidates need an experience certificate? Only when the relevant route requires it; the notice distinguishes mandatory and desirable cases.

Q: Can a degree-holder be Hospital Attender? No: the PDF expressly disqualifies people possessing a degree for this role.

Q: Is Hospital Attender paid ₹13,500 a month? No fixed monthly figure is published. The official rate is ₹450 per day.

Q: Do I need a two-wheeler licence for STLS? A permanent licence and ability to drive are both specified, along with MLT, computing and registration.

Q: Can a BAMS+MPH applicant compete normally for JC (M&E)? The wording treats BAMS+MPH as a fallback when the above-qualified BDS/B.Sc Nursing + MPH applicants are unavailable.

Q: Is there a fee exemption for SC/ST? This 4-page notice contains no fee amount or category-wise waiver schedule. Do not infer a zero-fee policy.

Q: Can I apply in person? No. Direct applications to the office are expressly rejected; online submission is required.

Q: Can I apply on 12 November after 4 PM? Not under the printed deadline.

Q: Where is the interview date? There is no official interview date in these four pages.

Q: What syllabus and negative marking apply? Neither is declared by this notification. Ignore websites assigning a paper pattern from an unrelated recruitment.

Q: Has the old rank list been cancelled? The separate 29 October 2026 District Programme Manager notice withdraws older applications and current rank lists for administrative reasons. It does not say the new 46-seat notice is withdrawn.

Q: How do I check later changes? Monitor the official NHM Idukki page and distinguish a later new amendment from the earlier-list cancellation.

Hospital Attender — 1 vacancy

Official register: NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3, p. 4; NHM Idukki, Kerala. Age reference: 1 October 2026. Published pay: ₹450 per payable day (not a monthly salary). The district advertises contractual engagement, not a permanent cadre appointment.

Exact educational route

Must have passed Standard VII (Class 7); candidates who possess a degree are expressly ineligible for appointment.

Mandatory versus preferable: The exclusion applies to degree-holders; do not convert the condition into “maximum education Class VII” or claim that all Class VIII/X pass applicants are automatically excluded.

What to upload and verify

Proof of passing Standard VII; candid declaration of educational qualifications and age.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

Passing Class X but not holding a degree is not expressly disqualified by this sentence; the authority should be consulted about any other educational-equivalence issue.

Where applicants get rejected: A candidate with a completed bachelor’s degree is excluded despite satisfying the seventh-standard minimum.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

The only daily-wage vacancy—₹450 per day, not ₹450 a month or a fabricated monthly total. No guaranteed number of paid days, shift schedule or assigned hospital is specified. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Class VII completion and no false statement about degree status.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

Duties

No guaranteed number of paid days, shift schedule or assigned hospital is specified.

Responsibilities
  • Class VII completion and no false statement about degree status.
  • Present genuine qualifications, registrations and experience documents required only for this profile.
  • Follow the official NHM Idukki application and later selection notices; do not infer an unannounced test date.
Post-specific instructions

Audiologist — 2 vacancies

Official register: NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3, p. 1; NHM Idukki, Kerala. Age reference: 1 October 2026. Published pay: ₹30,000 listed rate (monthly remuneration presentation; no detailed pay breakup in the notice). The district advertises contractual engagement, not a permanent cadre appointment.

Exact educational route

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP), Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registration and three completed years of post-qualification experience.

Mandatory versus preferable: All three components are printed together. Experience before the qualifying degree should not be counted as post-qualification service.

What to upload and verify

BASLP degree, valid RCI registration evidence, employer-issued certificates with work period and responsibilities.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A candidate who completes three years only after the 12 November application deadline should not presume the missing period can be made up later.

Where applicants get rejected: A BASLP degree without current RCI registration or without three post-qualification years does not satisfy the advertised profile.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

Experience chronology matters more here than a generic “three years total employment” claim. Audiology and communication-disorder support belong to the role’s professional area; the advertisement does not allocate a named clinic. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Certificate issue/registration number and employment start/end dates after BASLP.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

Duties

Audiology and communication-disorder support belong to the role’s professional area; the advertisement does not allocate a named clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Present genuine qualifications, registrations and experience documents required only for this profile.

Data Manager (Block Public Health Unit) — 1 vacancy

Official register: NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3, pp. 1–2; NHM Idukki, Kerala. Age reference: 1 October 2026. Published pay: ₹24,000 listed rate (monthly remuneration presentation; no detailed pay breakup in the notice). The district advertises contractual engagement, not a permanent cadre appointment.

Exact educational route

Three explicit alternatives: (A) postgraduate Computer Science with at least three years experience; (B) B.E. in IT/Electronics, basic computer and MS Office competence, with preference for health/social-sector work; (C) graduation plus PG Public Health degree, demonstrated public-health data management and certification in SPSS/Stata/R or comparable data platforms.

Mandatory versus preferable: Three-year minimum belongs to the Computer Science PG route; health/social-sector work is a preference under the B.E. route. The Public Health route requires demonstrated data management and platform certification.

What to upload and verify

Marksheets and degree certificates for the chosen one of three routes; for route A, dated three-year experience; for route B, proof of basic computer skills; for route C, project/work documentation and relevant platform certificate.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

B.E. Electronics with documented MS Office knowledge may follow route B even without the three years prescribed only to route A; confirm the form captures the correct route.

Where applicants get rejected: A generic computer course is not the same as the PG Computer Science / B.E. / PG Public Health qualifications. A software certificate does not replace a missing degree.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

The only role expressly built around three alternative data/IT/public-health pathways; do not merge them into one impossible checklist. The label “Block Public Health Unit” identifies the data-management function; exact block placement is not specified. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Match degree title to a single permissible route and attach that route’s corresponding evidence.. Epidemiologist — 2 vacancies

Official register: NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3, p. 1; NHM Idukki, Kerala. Age reference: 1 October 2026. Published pay: ₹55,250 listed rate (monthly remuneration presentation; no detailed pay breakup in the notice). The district advertises contractual engagement, not a permanent cadre appointment.

Exact educational route

Graduation plus PG degree/diploma in Preventive & Social Medicine, Public Health or Epidemiology (such as MD, MPH, DPH or MAE); alternatively, a medical graduate with five years in Epidemiology/Public Health.

Mandatory versus preferable: The five-year experience is compulsory on the medical-graduate alternative. The two-year public-health programme/epidemiology experience under the first pathway is marked desirable.

What to upload and verify

PG or medical degree; relevant discipline and course record; for the medical-graduate alternative, dated certificates proving five years in Epidemiology/Public Health; MBBS evidence if claiming 65-year age ceiling.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A graduate plus MPH may qualify through the PG route with the listed two-year experience marked desirable. A medical graduate without that postgraduate route needs five years of relevant work.

Where applicants get rejected: A non-MBBS MPH applicant cannot assume the 65-year MBBS age concession. An MBBS applicant should not assume the medical graduation alone substitutes for the stated five years of experience.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

This is the only advertised role with two different maximum ages depending on an applicant’s medical qualification. District-level disease surveillance and programme data interpretation are typical professional contexts, not a detailed duty list guaranteed by this four-page advertisement. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Qualification title/discipline, dates and duties in experience certificates, and the precise age route.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

Mandatory versus preferable: MPH is compulsory for both pathways. BAMS is expressly a conditional second route, not a blanket replacement for the BDS/B.Sc profile.

What to upload and verify

MPH and BDS/B.Sc Nursing certificates, plus one year post-qualification experience for the priority route; for fallback, MPH and BAMS certificates.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A BDS + MPH candidate with no post-qualification year does not satisfy the priority route as printed. An MPH + BAMS candidate is considered only under the source’s fallback clause.

Where applicants get rejected: BAMS alone is not enough; and an MPH + BAMS candidate cannot claim the primary route’s selection preference.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

Separate mandatory MPH, preferred feeder degree and fallback priority in one decision tree. Monitoring and Evaluation is the advertised role title; no quantified KPI targets or field assignments are provided. Mandatory versus preferable: One year of post-qualification experience in the same field is desirable, not compulsory.

What to upload and verify

Plus Two/VHSC records showing Biology, approved Health Inspector course diploma and valid Kerala registration.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

Applicants with exactly the core three credentials but no one-year experience should not automatically self-reject: the source labels experience desirable.

Where applicants get rejected: A generic science higher-secondary course without the Health Inspector diploma does not complete the notified qualification.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

Distinguish the subject-and-diploma requirement from the preferred work history. No precise health-inspection jurisdiction or field timetable is promised in the notice. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Biology proof, diploma and council record; add dated experience evidence where available.. Mid Level Service Provider (MLSP) — 16 vacancies

Official register: NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3, pp. 2–3; NHM Idukki, Kerala. Age reference: 1 October 2026. Published pay: ₹20,500 listed rate (monthly remuneration presentation; no detailed pay breakup in the notice). The district advertises contractual engagement, not a permanent cadre appointment.

Exact educational route

B.Sc Nursing with Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council registration OR GNM with valid Kerala council registration PLUS one year post-qualification experience.

Mandatory versus preferable: One-year post-qualification experience is explicitly attached to the GNM alternative, not the B.Sc Nursing route.

What to upload and verify

B.Sc Nursing and Kerala council certificate, OR GNM and council certificate plus dated one-year post-qualification experience.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A B.Sc Nursing holder can apply under the degree route without inventing a one-year experience requirement not printed against that route.

Where applicants get rejected: A newly registered GNM graduate with no year of practice does not automatically qualify via the B.Sc route; these are separate alternatives.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

With 16 vacancies, MLSP is the largest recruitment block; this conditional GNM experience rule is easy to miss. “Mid Level Service Provider” denotes the advertised cadre; exact service facility is not disclosed in the notification. For this profile, the decisive proof is: GNM work experience dates when relevant and current council registration.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

Duties

“Mid Level Service Provider” denotes the advertised cadre; exact service facility is not disclosed in the notification.

Responsibilities
  • GNM work experience dates when relevant and current council registration.
  • Present genuine qualifications, registrations and experience documents required only for this profile.
  • Follow the official NHM Idukki application and later selection notices; do not infer an unannounced test date.
Post-specific instructions
  • A newly registered GNM graduate with no year of practice does not automatically qualify via the B.Sc route; these are separate alternatives.

Route B: recognised Optometry/Ophthalmic Assistant degree with two relevant experience years. Valid Kerala Paramedical Council registration also specified.

Mandatory versus preferable: Both routes require two years relevant experience. Council registration is not merely desirable.

What to upload and verify

Plus Two subject list plus recognised diploma OR the recognised degree, with two-year experience evidence and Kerala Paramedical Council registration.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A diploma from an unrecognised training centre requires clarification of official recognition before applying.

Where applicants get rejected: Having Plus Two science alone does not meet route A; having a degree without two relevant years does not complete route B.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

Route A is a multi-part test: school science subjects + formal eye-care diploma + work experience + registration. The notice does not identify a hospital or clinical subunit for this Ophthalmic Assistant vacancy. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Recognition of the particular course and dated experience in eye-care/ophthalmic practice.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

Staff Nurse — Palliative Care — 3 vacancies

Official register: NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3, p. 2; NHM Idukki, Kerala. Age reference: 1 October 2026. Published pay: ₹20,500 listed rate (monthly remuneration presentation; no detailed pay breakup in the notice). The district advertises contractual engagement, not a permanent cadre appointment.

Exact educational route

GNM or B.Sc Nursing, valid Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council registration, AND a 45-day Basic Certificate Course in Palliative Nursing (BCCPN).

Mandatory versus preferable: The 45-day BCCPN course is a compulsory separate condition in this entry; ordinary nursing registration does not waive it.

What to upload and verify

GNM/B.Sc Nursing, Kerala nursing registration, certificate confirming BCCPN completion and 45-day duration.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A registered B.Sc Nurse who attended only an unrelated short palliative awareness workshop has not demonstrated the advertised BCCPN.

Where applicants get rejected: A Staff Nurse applicant should not select the Palliative Care post without this course even when their base nursing degree is otherwise eligible.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

This is a targeted palliative-care qualification, distinct from the general Staff Nurse vacancy. Palliative care is the advertised specialisation, but location and shift arrangements are not prescribed. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Recognisable certificate title and duration; avoid assuming any palliative short course is equivalent.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

Duties

Palliative care is the advertised specialisation, but location and shift arrangements are not prescribed.

Responsibilities
  • Recognisable certificate title and duration; avoid assuming any palliative short course is equivalent.

Exact educational route

D.Pharm OR B.Pharm and Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration.

Mandatory versus preferable: Professional registration remains required regardless of which approved pharmacy degree/diploma is used.

What to upload and verify

D.Pharm/B.Pharm degree or diploma and valid Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A pharmacy graduate registered only outside Kerala should confirm that the demanded Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration is available before submitting.

Where applicants get rejected: Finishing B.Pharm does not by itself establish valid state council registration.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

Both a diploma and bachelor route are expressly available, but the registration requirement is shared. The notice identifies the Pharmacist role but not the exact dispensary or medicine distribution site. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Registration evidence paired with the correct pharmacy qualification.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

Exact educational route

SSLC, JPHN training from a government/government-accredited institution (at least an 18-month ANM course) and valid Kerala Auxiliary Nurses and Midwifery Council registration.

Mandatory versus preferable: School certificate, approved JPHN/ANM training and relevant Kerala registration are distinct compulsory steps.

What to upload and verify

SSLC pass certificate; JPHN/ANM certificate showing 18-month minimum and institutional approval; Kerala auxiliary nursing registration.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A candidate with an ANM certificate from a private institute should establish whether the institution meets the advertised government/accreditation condition.

Where applicants get rejected: A general nursing credential does not automatically replace the precise JPHN/ANM course in this notification.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

Five seats, but certificate course provenance may decide eligibility more than a generic nursing label. RBSK designates a child-health programme; the PDF does not publish service-route or travel details. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Training-duration record, issuing/accrediting institute and correct registration stream.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

RBSK Coordinator — 1 vacancy

Official register: NHM/IDK/784/2026-A3, pp. 3–4; NHM Idukki, Kerala. Age reference: 1 October 2026. Published pay: ₹30,000 listed rate (monthly remuneration presentation; no detailed pay breakup in the notice). The district advertises contractual engagement, not a permanent cadre appointment.

Exact educational route

PRIMARY: M.Sc Nursing plus valid Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council registration; computer knowledge desirable. ONLY in the absence of candidates qualified through this pathway: B.Sc Nursing plus valid Kerala registration and three years of post-qualification experience; computer knowledge desirable.

Mandatory versus preferable: The three-year post-qualification experience is printed in the FALLBACK B.Sc Nursing block, not as a universal condition for the initial M.Sc Nursing route.

What to upload and verify

For priority M.Sc route: degree, council registration and computer knowledge evidence if available. For fallback B.Sc route: nursing degree, registration and certificates proving three years post-qualification work.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

An M.Sc Nursing applicant should not be wrongly screened out for lacking three years of experience; the source attaches those three years to the alternative B.Sc route.

Where applicants get rejected: A B.Sc Nurse with three years does not gain equal priority over a qualified M.Sc Nurse: fallback consideration is conditional.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

The most important primary/fallback interpretation across the 15 post lines; it reverses the V2 mistake. The notification does not describe the coordinator’s management portfolio or specific programme location. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Separate the documents by route and never mix primary M.Sc rules with backup B.Sc conditions.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

Duties

The notification does not describe the coordinator’s management portfolio or specific programme location.

Exact educational route

GNM or B.Sc Nursing together with valid Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council registration.

Mandatory versus preferable: No extra compulsory experience period or palliative-care course is printed in this Staff Nurse row.

What to upload and verify

GNM/B.Sc Nursing qualification and a current Kerala nursing registration certificate or official verification.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A registered GNM applicant should compare this Staff Nurse profile with MLSP: MLSP imposes one year experience on its GNM route, this entry does not.

Where applicants get rejected: A palliative nursing certificate is required for the separate Palliative Care row, not universally for this 9-seat Staff Nurse row.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

Nine seats make this the second-largest single advertised title, but degree/registration verification is still post-specific. The advertisement does not promise any particular ward, shift or healthcare facility. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Exact nursing qualification and Kerala council registration category.. The shared online deadline, earlier-rank-list cancellation and selection-update rules are detailed in the recruitment-wide guide above.

The advertisement does not promise any particular ward, shift or healthcare facility.

Mandatory versus preferable: The one-year NTEP experience is stated as preferred, not mandatory; computer certificate, licence, riding ability and registration are expressly listed requirements.

What to upload and verify

MLT degree/diploma and institute recognition; two-month computer course; permanent two-wheeler licence; Kerala Paramedical Council registration; NTEP experience if any.

Candidate decision: a realistic example

A valid learner’s licence is not the same as the expressly stated permanent licence.

Where applicants get rejected: A lab diploma alone fails the complete checklist if the candidate lacks the permanent two-wheeler licence or computer certificate.

What the official notice does—and does not—promise

This is the most easily overlooked nonacademic checklist: MLT + computing + mobility + professional registration. The role connects laboratory supervision to tuberculosis programme operations; actual field/travel allocation is not published. For this profile, the decisive proof is: Permanent licence validity and the length/content of the computer course..
