Advertisement No. 05/2026 is structurally unusual because it combines two Assistant Teacher streams that belong to different Uttar Pradesh education systems in one application and one selection examination. The larger stream is 11,508 Assistant Teacher, Primary, Urban vacancies associated with the Basic Education Department/UP Basic Shiksha Parishad. The second stream is 897 Sambaddh Primary vacancies in primary sections attached to non-government aided secondary schools under the Secondary Education setup. Those 897 posts are further split into 473 vacancies in boys' schools and 424 in girls' schools. Because the advertisement spans both Basic and Secondary Education, no single department is forced at recruitment level in this record.
Vacancy arithmetic is internally consistent. Urban Primary has 4,746 UR, 3,069 OBC, 1,116 EWS, 2,379 SC and 198 ST vacancies, which sum to 11,508. Sambaddh Primary has 378 UR, 164 OBC, 7 EWS, 348 SC and no ST vacancy, totaling 897; its boys' branch is 196 UR + 84 OBC + 4 EWS + 189 SC = 473, while the girls' branch is 182 UR + 80 OBC + 3 EWS + 159 SC = 424. Across both streams the verified vertical total is 12,405.
A useful reservation detail often misreported elsewhere is the horizontal breakup within the 11,508 Urban Primary vacancies. The PwBD total is 429: 83 each for VI, LI, HI and Thalassemia, plus 97 seats shown for VI/LI/HI/Thalassemia as per merit. Dependents of Freedom Fighters are separately shown as 198 and Ex-Servicemen as 540. The number 97 should therefore not be presented as the Freedom Fighter quota.
The Urban Primary vacancy table covers all 75 districts and is highly concentrated rather than evenly spread. Bareilly has 888 posts, Kanpur Nagar 758, Meerut 635, Aligarh 492, Saharanpur 448, Lucknow 444, Ghaziabad 405, Varanasi 378, and Agra and Fatehgarh/Farrukhabad 315 each. These ten districts together account for 5,078 of 11,508 Urban vacancies, or about 44.13%. At the other end, the ten smallest district allocations together contain only 142 posts: Shravasti 2, Chitrakoot 3, Gautam Buddh Nagar 6, Kushinagar 8, Kanpur Dehat 12, Chandauli 15, Maharajganj 19, Sonbhadra 20, Amethi 28 and Ambedkar Nagar 29. This concentration matters when candidates assess likely posting availability; the advertisement does not publish an equivalent 75-district allocation for the 897 Sambaddh Primary vacancies.
Eligibility needs careful reading. For Urban Primary, graduation must be paired with a notified elementary teacher-training qualification such as BTC/D.El.Ed, two-year BTC (Urdu), Special BTC, an RCI-approved two-year Diploma in Special Education, four-year B.El.Ed or the notified NCTE-regulated two-year elementary education diploma route, plus a qualifying TET for Classes 1-5 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Government or Government of India. For Sambaddh Primary, the notified route is graduation plus NCTE-recognized BTC/D.El.Ed and Classes 1-5 TET. A common eligibility trap is B.Ed: B.Ed alone is not included in the notified primary teacher-training list for Advertisement 05/2026.
The age rules are also not identical. For Urban Primary the reference date is 1 July 2026 and the ordinary age band is 21-40 years. The advertisement-based relaxation summary gives five years to eligible Uttar Pradesh SC/ST/OBC candidates, fifteen years to eligible Uttar Pradesh PwBD candidates, military service plus three years for ex-servicemen, and an upper age ceiling up to 60 years for eligible Shiksha Mitras. For Sambaddh Primary, the minimum is 21 years; the notice treats 62 years as the superannuation boundary rather than applying the Urban post's ordinary 40-year ceiling. This record therefore does not silently apply a single 21-40 rule to all 12,405 posts.
The application is OTR-based and online. One application covers the two recruitment streams, so applicants must pay close attention to the post/preference choice in the portal rather than assuming separate forms. The application and fee deadline is 15 October 2026 and the correction deadline is 19 October 2026. Candidates should preserve the submitted form and supporting records for document verification.
Pay is Pay Matrix Level-6, Rs. 35,400-1,12,400 for both streams. No estimated in-hand salary is inserted here because allowances, deductions and actual take-home pay are not fixed by the vacancy table itself.
The selection examination is an OMR-based objective paper of 120 questions for 360 marks in 120 minutes: +3 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong or multiple-marked response. The official syllabus distribution is General Knowledge & Current Affairs 25, Logical Reasoning 5, Languages 30, Science 8, Mathematics 16, Environmental & Social Studies 8, Teaching Skills 8, Child Psychology 8, Information Technology 4, and Life Skills/Management & Attitude 8. Languages plus GK alone make up 55 of 120 questions (45.83%); adding Mathematics takes the concentration to 71 of 120 (59.17%). This is arithmetic from the notified blueprint, not a prediction of question difficulty or cut-off. The written examination is scheduled for 3 and 4 December 2026; if held in multiple shifts, normalization may be applied. Selection proceeds on written-exam merit followed by document verification; no interview stage is inserted in this record.
The Commission's official advertisement, application portal and syllabus remain controlling. Candidates should re-check the official site before final submission for any later corrigendum or instruction.
