Announced under Employment Notice No. 02/2026, Annexure-V (pages 18–19). This is the published syllabus for the same one-post recruitment, not a speculative coaching outline. No examination date, duration, centre or numerical qualifying cutoff is given in the advertisement.
| Assessment component | Official scheme |
|---|---|
| Question format | Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) |
| Total | 100 questions, 100 marks, one mark per question |
| General Knowledge / Aptitude | 40 questions/marks covering numerical, qualitative/quantitative aptitude and reasoning |
| Technical Electronics | 60 questions/marks from the official technical topic list |
| Incorrect answer | −⅓ mark per wrong answer |
| Unattempted question | No deduction |
| Trade test | Qualifying in nature; committee fixes the required standard |
| Final ranking | Written-exam merit among candidates who qualify in trade test, subject to eligibility and verification |
| Cutoff / duration / date | Not specified / not announced |
The notice specifies General Knowledge/Aptitude Test, including Numerical Aptitude, Qualitative Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. It does not prescribe a separate 10/10/10/10 breakdown, an English-paper allocation or an official set of mock-test topics. Study plans can cover arithmetic, logical reasoning and contemporary general knowledge, but those are preparation suggestions, not additional published syllabus headings.

| Antennas | Wave propagation, VSAT, microwave antennas, antenna types and transceivers |
| Security Systems | Digital security system fundamentals |
No internal marks per technical heading are published. Do not infer that solar, antennas, semiconductor physics or marine navigation equipment carry any specific fraction of the 60 technical marks.
This exam blends electronics diploma theory with real maritime navigation-system equipment. Unlike a generic IT exam, Annexure-V explicitly names marine lanterns, RACON, DGPS, NAVTEX, AIS, VHF, solar MPPT and microwave antennas. That aligns with the published post duties: installation/upgradation, maintenance and fault correction for Aids to Navigation and optical systems at lighthouses. Connecting those two parts of the official notice is the most useful preparation insight; it does not constitute an invented weightage.
The notice prohibits mobile phones, calculators and other devices in the examination hall. Exam centre information is to appear on the admit/call card; changing the allotted centre is not permitted under the notice. Applicants are expected to monitor the official DGLL website and their provided email/postal contact for written test, trade test and certificate-verification calls. No standalone new admit card, answer key, result or cutoff for Employment Notice 02/2026 is supplied in the notice; do not confuse older Goa Directorate Technician (Diesel) results with this Electronics recruitment.
