Junior Superintendent — Actual Annexure-I Syllabus and Exam Lifecycle
Not an invented pattern: IIITP/NT/Rectt./2026/1 specifies Stage-I 100 marks/90 minutes, ¼ negative marking, Part A 40 / Part B 60. The 50% GEN/OBC/EWS and 45% SC/ST marks are minimum Stage-I eligibility for Stage-II, not a predicted final recruitment cutoff. JoPT follows at 50 marks/60 minutes, with minimum 50% pass, but JoPT scores do not enter merit. Final selection ranks candidates by written Stage-I 100 marks after passing JoPT.

Qualifying practical, not extra merit marks
JoPT requires creating/formatting office documents, drafting, data entry, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint work relevant to an Academic/Research institution. It is a 60-minute 50-mark test and an applicant must obtain at least 25/50; nevertheless merit remains 100 written marks. Up to 8 applicants per vacancy may progress, not automatically all Stage-I passers.
What happens next
After hardcopy scrutiny there is a three-working-day chance to provide requested clarifications and three working days for grievance against provisional eligibility. Admit card is ordinarily issued 21 days before the as-yet unannounced exam. Test date, response sheet, official answer-key date, exact final cutoffs and results date are not specified. Final select list will be posted by the Institute; tie break prioritises written domain score. Preserve application form and original certificates for the test and subsequent verification.
