Section meaning and scope: English Language is the notified English-language test; Quantitative Aptitude is the separately timed numeracy/aptitude test; Reasoning Ability is the separately timed logical-ability test. The Bank has not published a more granular topic-wise chapter list in this notice; avoid presenting coaching-style topics as an official syllabus. Each test has its own qualifying cutoff, set by IBPS in concurrence with the Bank. Cutoffs apply first to individual tests and then to total scores. The notification states a minimum 40% aggregate for General or 35% for reserved-category candidates, subject to overall merit.
For every wrong objective answer, one-fourth of the marks attached to that question is deducted; unanswered questions carry no penalty. Scores may be equated across different sessions for difficulty differences, and results are reported up to two decimal places. Provisional selection is decided using marks from this online examination only, subject to reservations and all other appointment conditions.
